1. Give 5 reasons why the 19th century was the worst for the Spanish government.

Did
this affect the Filipinos? How?
One of the reasons why the 19th century was the worst for the Spanish
government was because of the rise of Liberalism where most of their
colonies had enough and decided to fight for their independence, by this time
Spain had lost numerous colonies because of Liberalism. The second thing is
the corruption of the colonial government led by the Spanish Governor
General wherein most Spanish blooded people are occupying higher positions
while Filipinos are only allowed to handle only Gobernadorcillo and Cabeza
De Barangay. Third is the discrimination and the unjust treatment of Spanish
people in the colonies, the violence and everything that they do to degrade
non-spanish people that they interact with just like the mother f Dr. Jose Rizal
who unjustly put into prison. Forth reasons why the 19 th century was the
worst for the Spanish government is the partnership of church and state.
These two must always be separated in running a nation and community
because it has so many disadvantages if the church interferes with the state's
perspective and vice versa. Last, is the abuse of power by the Spanish
Government Officials, these greediness of power and wealth will surely put
somebody down because those people who are proud will be bowed down
and those who are humble and lowly will be lifted up.
It did affect Filipinos in a way of the change of perspective that if
other nations can be independent and fight for their freedom, we also can do
the same thing. This is what Dr. Rizal concludes when he is abroad and
observing how Spain acts these ways.
