D. Discussing new concepts and practicing The simple present is a verb tense with two main uses. We
new skills #1 (What is It) use simple present tense when an action is happening right now, or when it
happens regularly (or unceasingly, which is why it’s sometimes called
present indefinite). Depending on the person, the simple present tense is
formed by using the base form or by adding –s or –es to the end.

Example:
She writes her name on the board.
Notice the subject and verb agreement in the sentence. The
underlined word “she” is the subject referring to only one girl.
(singular) that is why we add –s to the verb.

Simple Present Tense pattern will be:

When talking about singular subjects and pronouns (he, she and it) we add
–s or –es to the verb.
Example: Kelvin plays Mobile Legends every day.

When talking about plural subjects the base form of the

verb is used.
