data can help researchers understand the context and environmental aspects that may impact their research.
History
Sorsogon City is a coastal city located in the Bicol Region of the Philippines. It is the capital of the province of
Sorsogon and is situated at the southernmost tip of the Bicol Peninsula. Sorsogon City is known for its natural beauty, with
stunning beaches, waterfalls, and other scenic spots such as the Bulusan Volcano Natural Park and the Donsol Whale Shark
Interaction Center. The city is also home to various cultural and historical landmarks.
The history of Sorsogon dates to the pre-colonial era when the area was inhabited by the early settlers known as the
"Pintados". The Pintados were skilled in agriculture, fishing, and trading, and they established a thriving community along
the coast of what is now Sorsogon. During the Spanish colonial period, Sorsogon was part of the vast territory of the province
of Albay. The town of Sorsogon played a significant role in the Philippine Revolution against Spain in the late 19th century.
In Sorsogon, the revolutionary leader General Perfecto Delos Santos organized the Bicolano forces against the Spanish
colonizers.
In 1898, Sorsogon became one of the first provinces to declare independence from Spain, along with the
neighboring province of Albay. Sorsogon became a major center for the propagation of the Catholic faith, with many
churches and schools being established throughout the province. During the Spanish colonial period, Sorsogon was part of
the province of Albay, and it remained so until 1894 when it was made a separate province. During the American colonial
period, Sorsogon became a sub-province of Albay once again. It was only in 1901 that Sorsogon regained its status as an
independent province. Over the years, Sorsogon continued to develop as an agricultural center, with coconut farming and
abaca production as major industries.
In the early 20th century, Sorsogon became a hub for the abaca industry, with the fiber being exported to Europe and
the United States. The province also played a key role in the Philippine Revolution against Spanish colonial rule, with local
leaders such as Jacinto and Lukban leading the fight for independence. During World War II, Sorsogon was occupied by the
Japanese, and the province saw heavy fighting between the Japanese and the Philippine Commonwealth troops. After the
war, Sorsogon continued to develop, with new industries such as mining, logging, and fishing being established.
The city of Sorsogon was created in 2000 and today Sorsogon is a thriving province in the Bicol Region of the
Philippines, with a rich history and culture. Its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and economic opportunities make it an
important center for tourism, agriculture, and commerce in the region.

The specific duties of individual employees in a shopping mall will depend on their job function and the type of store
or service they work for.

completing sales transactions. They may also assist with inventory management, restocking shelves, and setting up displays.

Customer Service Representatives: Customer service representatives are responsible for answering customer questions,
providing information about the mall and its stores, and resolving customer complaints. They may also assist with lost and
found items, parking, and other customer issues.

criminal activity. They may patrol the mall on foot or by using security cameras and respond to emergencies such as medical
emergencies or accidents.

Maintenance Workers: Maintenance workers are responsible for keeping the mall clean and in good condition. They may
sweep floors, clean restrooms, maintain the landscaping and outdoor areas, and perform basic repairs as needed.
Management: Mall management oversees the operation of the mall and is responsible for managing store leases, coordinating
events and promotions, and handling customer complaints and issues. They may also be responsible for hiring and training

customers. By working together and fulfilling their individual duties, employees can ensure that the mall is clean, safe, and
welcoming to all visitors.

The flow of human circulation in a shopping mall can be broken down into several key areas:

usually the busiest area of the mall and where most of the stores and amenities are located.

Main Corridors: These are the wide and spacious hallways that connect different areas of the mall. Visitors typically move
through these corridors in a linear fashion, with many of them stopping to window shop or browse stores along the way.

Branch Corridors: These are the smaller corridors that connect the main corridors to individual stores. Visitors will often turn
off the main corridor to explore a particular store, then re-enter the main corridor to continue their journey.

Anchor Stores: These are large department stores that are usually located at the ends of the main corridors. Visitors will often
navigate to these anchor stores as a primary destination, and then explore other stores located near them.

Food Courts: Food courts are typically located near the center of the mall, and visitors will often take a break from shopping
to grab a meal or snack. The flow of human circulation in food courts is usually more complex, with visitors crossing over
and under the main corridors to reach different food options.

Exits: Visitors will typically exit the mall through the same entrance they entered, although some malls may have multiple
exits for easier access to parking or transportation.

Overall, the flow of human circulation in a shopping mall is designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, with clear signage
and open spaces to guide visitors along their journey. Stores and amenities are strategically located to attract visitors and
encourage them to explore different areas of the mall.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

“Great Design does not Rely Simply on Beauty But Provides Awareness to those who Experience it.” – NAGAYAMA

YUKO

Architecture acts as a guideline for change, helping you plan investments, development, and system changes
systematically. Architects should strive for simplicity in their designs so that they may be understood by their target
audiences. As a result, simplicity is simply another way to achieve the outstanding design. Simplicity is a critical concept in
architecture, and it already has a substantial, if unspoken, effect on the topic. The functionality, however, is a more crucial
part of a building, it gives the best comfort to the people that use it.

If architects focus only on function, buildings may be cold, ugly, and uninteresting. Beautiful, well-constructed
buildings are a symbol of a civilized society and reflect well on the business or reputation of the owner. On the other hand, if
they focus only on making it look beautiful, the building may be completely impractical. Therefore, blending these two ideas
is necessary to create the perfect piece of architecture.
