Learning Outcomes
Define the basic concepts of technology for teaching and learning.

1. What do you think is technology?

Technology is the application of scientific theories, methods and ideologies into the production
of any device or invention intended to make things easier for the people.

2. What do you think is ICT?

ICT is the abbreviation for information and communications technology. It refers to the
integration of different modes of telecommunications which enables people from all over the
globe to access, connect, manipulate and interact in the digital platform.

3. What do you think is Educational Technology?

It pertains to the utilization of technology in the means for education and facilitate learning
through the development and application of digital / technological devices.

4. What do you think is instructional technology?

It refers to the use of technological resources for instruction. It is utilized to facilitate a more
enhanced, creative and innovative way of learning thus promote better, more efficient education.

5. What do you think is instructional media?

Instructional media is the practice of utilizing any materials and means that an educator can to
effectively facilitate planning, delivery and reinforcement of learning. It may also pertain to the
use of methods, skills, ideas, procedures, resources and machines to help enhance the teaching-
learning process.
6. What do you think are instructional aids?
Instructional aids are the additional learning materials utilized by the teachers to make the
learning process more interesting and fun for the students. It is any material that aids the teacher
for a smoother, more effective teaching-learning process.

7. What do you think are instructional materials?

It pertains to the materials that the teacher use as a resource for information and a tool to deliver
the content one ought to teach. It is any material used in the teaching and learning process such
as textbooks, multimedia components, flashcards, etc.

8.What do you think is an instructional system?

Instructional system is the arrangement, flow and organization of the resources and procedures
for effective teaching and learning to happen. It pertains to the systematic process of developing
instructional materials and how to deliver it efficiently.

9. What do you think are technology tools?

It refers to the software that are used to develop and support online course contents and helps
expand human ability in performing tasks or generating products.
