a. What concepts/ideas in mathematics do you know were shown in the short movie?

Geometry, patterns, Fibonacci sequence

Geometry is a branch of mathematics concerned with the study of the sizes, shapes,
positions, angles, and dimensions of objects.

A pattern in mathematics is a repeated arrangement of numbers, forms, colors, and so on.

The Fibonacci sequence is a set of integers (the Fibonacci numbers) that starts with a
zero, followed by a one, then by another one, and then by a series of steadily increasing
numbers. The sequence follows the rule that each number is equal to the sum of the
preceding two numbers.

b. What new concepts/ideas in mathematics have you learned from watching the
short movie?

The golden ratio (137.5 degree) and Fractal

The golden ratio is an irrational number represented by the Greek letter phi (φ) that's used
to create geometries with what many people consider the most eye-pleasing proportions.
The golden ratio in mathematics is used as a reference for creating patterns and shapes.

A fractal is a never-ending pattern. Fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are self-
similar across different scales. They are created by repeating a simple process over and
over in an ongoing feedback loop.

c. What about mathematics might have changed your thoughts about it? Are you
happy with this change?

Mathematics is not just all about computation, solving, and simple shape and numbers,
Mathematics is beyond that. I know that we are using mathematics in our daily activities
but I don’t realize that we can see mathematics in almost everything around us.
Mathematics is more than I imagined; it is more than just practicing math. Mathematics is
practically everywhere, and it has the power to make things beautiful.

Yes, I'm happy with this change since I no longer see mathematics in the same way. I
now appreciate mathematics as more than I previously thought. Math is more than simply
numbers and equations. Math is not just solving for x, its also figuring out y.
d. What is/are the most helpful concept(s) for humankind about mathematics?

Geometry.

Geometric concepts are used by builders and engineers to develop buildings. Geometry is
used to construct structures with the best angles possible, using shape, size, position, and
other features. Geometry is used by civil engineers to design and design shapes for the
construction of freeways, tunnels, bridges, and other structures.

e. What role(s) did mathematics play in your life, environment, and the world?

Mathematics is used in many aspects of my daily life, including purchasing, budgeting,

measuring, shopping, and traveling.

Math enhances the beauty of the surrounding environment. It adds to the beauty and
individuality of the flowers. It also shapes and designs the trees. Insects and birds have
symmetric wings to fly.

Math makes the world a better place. People are living in a secure home or building
thanks to math. People may manage their finances using math. People can make things
easier and safer by using math.
