Bài tập cấu tạo từ thường kiểm tra tất cả các dạng từ loại như danh từ, tính từ, trạng từ,
động từ. Để làm tốt dạng bài tập này, trước hết, bạn cần phải có một vốn từ vựng phong phú. Vì
thế, khi học một từ mới nên học tất cả các từ WORDFORM liên quan, bao gồm cả tiền tố hoặc
hậu tố cấu tạo từ trái nghĩa.
Ví dụ: succeed (v), success (n), successful (a), successfully (adv), unsuccessful (adj),
unsuccessfully (adv).
Khi lựa chọn đáp án đúng cho bài tập WORDFORM cấu tạo từ ta cần chú ý những điểm
sau:
– Nếu điền DANH TỪ => xác định đó danh từ chỉ NGƯỜI hay SỰ VẬT; và kiểm tra xem có SỐ
NHIỀU được không
– Nếu điền ĐỘNG TỪ => kiểm tra THÌ và THỂ (xem động từ có chia ở BỊ ĐỘNG) không
– Nếu điền TÍNH TỪ / TRẠNG TỪ => kiểm tra xem có BỊ NGƯỢC NGHĨA không.
