GENERAL COMMENT THIS WEEK

Mr. Masashi Koga – BTG Civil Manager

• Wearing of Safety Glasses at worksite should be enforced. Supervisors and site

management staff should support its enforcement.

• Pedestrians should not be allowed to roam around 180 ton crane

Mr. Brigham Bates – TNJO Project Manager

• Maintain designated clearly identified access around areas of activity, due to congestion of equipments.

• Re-arrange all materials properly that it should not occupy working areas/spaces.

Mr. Koji Iwasaki – BTG Division Site Manager

• PPE usage by all personnel should be improved. All parties should share similar goal.

• Two (2) nail puncture injuries in a row is a lesson learned THAT ALL protruding nails from wooden

Materials SHOULD be removed or bent down to eliminate the hazard.

Mr. Mohan Rathinavel – JEL Site Manager

• Helmet chin-strap usage should be instilled into workers mind until it becomes a habit.

• Hearing protection (era-defender) should be worn during use of high intensity sound emitting power tools,

i.e. grinder, jack-hammer, etc.

• Workers should be educated NOT TO wear dark-shade eye-glasses during night or in locations where lights is in-adequate.

Clear glass should then be used during night-time.

The next Joint Site Management weekly HSE Inspection will be on:

1 December 2017 / Boiler Unit 1

Assy. Area: Boiler Unit 1 Eastside @ 8:30 a.m.
