CHAPTER I: INTRODUCTION

We all know that education is the one of the most

important sector in our society. You cannot have a good and

high-quality job if you're not educated. That is the reason

why we keep on fighting we keep on studying and we study hard.

Way back on 2019, many students studying at Pola Catholic

School are honour students but now that the pandemic comes the

numbers of those students decrease. Maybe it is because where

not prepared to this kind or set-up of learning method. We or

i specifically can say that for the past school year i didn't

learn a lot. If we will be given a chance to choose what kind

of learning method we want we will choose the natural way of

learning method. It is only because as a student i miss the

natural way of learning and for us we will learn more in that.

If the DepEd believes that "Ang kabataan ang pag asa ng bayan"

they should turn back the natural way learning. Always

remember "ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN SOCIETY IS

EDUCATION SO FOCUS ONLY YOUR EDUCATION AND AVOID DISTRACTIONS'

A. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Because of the COVID 19 pandemic the students of Pola

Catholic School is facing a difficulties in their learning.

Some of them is looking for the traditional kind of learning

maybe it is because they are not prepared for that kind of

learning. The students also facing difficulty because not all

of the students has a stable internet connection that can help

them in some activities like research or etc. Some of them

also has no load allowance so that they can’t search some

information they want to search. Lack of gadgets can be also a

problem of every students cause we all know that not all of

any students has a good and updated smartphones some of us

only use cell phones that can't be connected to internet. And

the biggest problem of every students is they only graduate by

papers but not by knowledge.

B. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study aims to give some motivation to every student

that they are not the only one who is encountering this kind

of difficulties for their module or online classes

This study may also use be a way to wake up the sleeping

DepEd.

C. IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY

This study could help those students that is encountering

some stress because of their modules. It can also motivate

some students to continue studying even though we are in this

kind of learning method. It can also explain to those students

who is thinking to give up their study the importance of

education to every each of them. It may also explain why we

need a diploma and how it is beneficial for us to have this.

D. SCOPE AND DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY

This research is of great significance in the field of

psychology and education because this study will gather data

to the effects of online class on the mental health of the

students. In addition, this will help the institutions in the

sense that they can cater and address this problem in

accordance with the result of the study.

E. DEFINITION OF TERMS

A. Education - is the process of facilitating learning, or the

acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, morals, beliefs,

habits, and personal development. Educational methods include

teaching, training, storytelling, discussion, and directed

research.

B. Covid -19 - is a virus that kills a lot of lives.

C. Modular/distance learning - is a kind of learning that do

not have a face-to-face contact between student and teacher.

D. Module - is a material that used to deliver or conduct a

lesson for the students to learn.

E. School - is the place where the students go for them to

learn by the time that the pandemic didn't evolve yet.

F. Ballpen - is one of the most important things that we need

during classes whether it is modular of traditional face to

face classes.
