allows all who study the human body to discuss the part of the body within
the same frame of reference and experience.

2. Name the four quadrants of the abdomen. Name at least 2 organs in each
quadrants including its physiology. (10 pts)
 The four quadrants of the abdomen include the right upper quadrant,
right lower quadrant, left upper quadrant and left lower quadrant. In the
upper right quadrant has two organs, the gall bladder and the liver. In right
lower quadrant are the right ovary and the fallopian tube in women. In the
upper left quadrant are the left kidney and spleen. In the left lower quadrant
are the small intestine and the left ureter.

3. Give a concrete example of internal and external changes within the

human body and explain how the body responds to maintain homeostasis.
(10 pts)
 The internal organs such as heart and kidney are located In the human
body and the external organs such as the skin are located outside of the
body. The kidney maintains homeostasis by controlling the amount of
water, ions, and other substances in the blood. Kidneys alse secrete
hormones that have other homeostatic functions. Homeostasis is
maintained when your heart can provide the rate of blood flow necessary to
meet your body’s increased metabolic demand for oxygen and nutrients. In
external if body temperature rises, blood vessels in the skin dilate, allowing
more blood to flow near the skin’s surface. This allows heat to dissipate
through the skin and into the surrounding air.
