Complete the following activities:

Task 3.1 Case Study

Assume that the following happened when implementing the corporate social responsibility strategy
and policy. Contextualise the scenario based on your policy and strategy where required.

Scenarios
A 25% timeline
The Board of Directors cut the budget for corporate social responsibility initiatives by 15%.
B 25% timeline
Departmental managers are strongly resisting the change to the point that they create
obstacles to the implementation of the policy and strategy.
 They say that they are too busy to spend any additional time supporting the
implementation.
 They still use superseded policies.
 They resist cross-functional practices to eliminate the silo mentality in the organisation.
 Staff feels unsupported by departmental managers.
C 50% timeline
Due to Covid 19, work practices have dramatically changed, and the organisation has shifted
to working from home part of the week. Unfortunately, the model is slowing staff
engagement with the change process.

D 50% timeline
Most staff still does not understand that sustainability is not just about environmental
sustainability.

E 75% timeline

At this stage, it looks like one of the key goals of the corporate social responsibility strategy,
will not be achieved.

Specify what goal: <Add>

Consult with relevant stakeholders (played by a group of classmates in the simulated work
environment) and conduct a review of the integration of corporate social responsibility policy and
practices in the organisation.

The trainer and assessor will validate that the consultation took place in week 5 of class, and will
provide feedback in the Marking Sheet.

Address the following:

1. Outline what monitoring activities were implemented to identify the issues outlined in the
scenarios. (Example: reading reports; meeting with stakeholders; focus groups, surveys etc..)

Scenario Monitoring activities

A A 15% cut in cash would impair Csr practices and have an adverse influence on the
endeavour in its totality. The researcher will be contacted first, and during the talk,
questions of expanding with little heavy machinery or cutting activities will be
reviewed.
B In this situation, a group will be called to examine the issues that have arisen as a
result of their workplace conduct. They should comply with regulations and work
inside the parameters that have been created. A negotiation procedure will be
undertaken.
C Laborers will be informed that Covid has just been certified as the new industry
norm. As with the lockdown, the only alternative for persons is to freelance at home.
A weekly Zoom conference must be scheduled to obtain a statement, and an
employee file must be given to guarantee that the staff person is currently
performing as necessary.
D Usually individuals describe sustainable the with climate, but training sessions and
seminars that explain terms in connection with company principles may assist.
E This takes place because of the company's inability to inform the person about
strategic plan as well as to interpret language in conformity with those regulations.

2. Address the following:

 Describe how each scenario impacts on the realisation of corporate social responsibility initiatives.
 Outline how each scenario is addressed/managed (remedial actions).

Dear Board of Directors,

I trust you are healthy and that you are reading my email. The purpose of this email is to inform
you of the employee's level of expertise and resources in understanding the party's beliefs and
objectives on a fundamental level. A military exercise and presentation will be arranged to teach
staff about their company and CSR fitness, since they are woefully lacking in both areas. The
following is an overview of the subjects that were debated:

 CSR coaching for all workforce

 Establishing a campaign on social media to raise CSR expertise both internally and outside,
while also tying the item to CSR efforts.
 Total quality management into all inside "quality circles" engineering firms.
 Coaching staff activities that promote company social responsibility
 Involvement in philanthropic causes.
 The company's current knowledge transfer did not give timely progress reports, and the
methodology was despised.

I would appreciate your thoughtful input. Thank you for your kindness.

Kind regards,
Pichakorn
