Production Schedule:
Please include location, time of film, what you are filming and team members including
actors

2nd March: Start filming with Archie as camera-man, Millie as lighting and Luke as actor.
Filming at Millie’s house with Niall as the dad to the main character. We are filming the
scene where Phillip comes home after being threatened by the bullies. We will be filming
from 10:00am to 2:30pm.
3rd March: We film this day with Josh, Luke, Ben and Jack. With these actors, we are filming
the scenes where the schoolkid (Jack) gets beaten up and Phillip (Luke) gets involved. This
will be done at around 11:00am at college.

6th March: We are filming the field scene and shop scene with Luke and Jack in Henley
during college hours and possibly longer if needed. The field scene is where Kevin tells
Phillip that a civilian is dangerous and Phillip runs away. The shop scene is where Phillip
steals something from the shop. Car park scene.

7th March: We film the scenes with Zoe as the teacher in the art classroom. Year twos are
not in on this day hence why we have to film this day. We will be filming Phillips first day at
his new school and teacher introduces him to everyone.
8th-10th: Luke is editing while Millie and Archie are making trailers and promotional stuff for
our short film.

After the scene where PHILLIP is hit in the temple, every cut
between scenes will be strange and unordinary.

ACT ONE

INT: SCHOOL CORRIDOR - DAY

PHILLIP is bashed against the wall by BULLY 1. He tries to

struggle, but is held against the wall.

BULLY 1
 Haha, look he thinks he’s superman or something.

BULLY 2 laughs.

BULLY 1
I’ve seen you trying to talk to our friends recently Phillip.
You're trying to join our group, hmm? Haha, just give up. We
don’t like you, mate. Alright? Just stay and sit in your own
little corner everyday.

There is silence whilst BULLY 1 tries to seek agreement from

PHILLIP’S facial expression.

BULLY 1
If you aren’t gonna speak I’m just gonna take that as a yes.
Now get lost.

BULLY 1 drops PHILLIP to the floor, who then walks off down
the hall away from the bullies.

INT: PHILLIP’S HOUSE - NIGHT

PHILLIP trudges through his house miserably.

MUM
Phillip, come here.

Slowly, he enters. His MUM is standing, with a serious facial

expression.

MUM
We have some important news, Phillip.

PHILLIP
Okay.

MUM
Your father has got a new job in Oxfordshire. We will be
moving there in a couple of weeks.

PHILLIP is in shock.

MUM
This may be hard for you - obviously you’ve lived in this
house for almost your whole life. But hopefully we can start
to have more money as a family and enjoy more luxuries and-

PHILLIP
No that’s- that’s okay. I understand.
MUM very surprised by PHILLIP’S response. He leaves the room
and heads to his room. He goes inside and closes the door. As
it closes shut, he raises his arms in the air, celebrating
with joy.

INT: CLASSROOM - DAY

PHILLIP is sitting looking towards the teacher, with a nervous

shake in his leg. Behind him, he can hear BULLY 1 and BULLY 2
mocking a SCHOOLKID.

EXT: CAMPUS - DAY

PHILLIP is walking along, and as he turns the corner he sees

the bullies shoving around SCHOOLKID. For a moment he tries to
decide whether he should go and help the kid, before
eventually making the decision and heading over.

PHILLIP
Oi! Get off him!

BULLY 1
Oh don’t you get involved.

PHILLIP charges over, pulling BULLY 2 to the ground. BULLY 1

grapples with PHILLIP, pulling himself and PHILLIP to ground.
BULLY 1 holds PHILLIP down whilst he punches him viciously.
His final punch lands in the temple, knocking PHILLIP straight
out. (Slow motion for the final punch). Ringing noise.
Camera fades to black, then fades back after a moment. Phillip
wakes up, pressing his hand against his bleeding head. He goes
to the toilet and puts toilet roll over the bleeding, then
leaves school to go home.

INT: PHILLIP’S HOUSE - NIGHT

PHILLIP enters the house and removes the toilet paper from his
head. He hears his mum coming, so covers up the cut with his
fringe.

MUM
How was school?

PHILLIP
Yeah, it was alright.

When the MUM replies, the camera stays on PHILLIP, and her
speaking fades out.

MUM
Okay, remember to pack your bags, we’re leaving tomorrow and…
 PHILLIP!

Camera cuts back to MUM.

MUM
Go on, go pack your bags.

PHILLIP nods and heads to his room.

ACT TWO

INT: NEW HOUSE - DAY

PHILLIP, with dark bags under his eyes, approaches the front
door with a school bag on his back.

MUM
How was your first sleep in the new house?
PHILLIP
There wasn’t one. I can’t seem to sleep at the moment.

Camera stays on PHILLIP as his mum talks.

MUM
Oh well, maybe you’re just getting-

Suddenly cuts to the next scene.

TEACHER
Can we please welcome the new student, Phillip. Make
sure he feels welcome.

PHILLIP walks into the classroom.

PHILLIP sits down and he gets out his work. PHILLIP nervously
uses his peripheral vision to try and see if other kids are
looking at him or laughing about him. No one is paying
attention to him, yet he still sits very nervously.

The bell rings to signify the end of the day.

EXT: STREET - AFTERNOON

As PHILLIP is walking along, KEVIN (around his age) catches

his attention.

KEVIN
 Hey!

PHILLIP
Err, hello?

KEVIN
You’re new to this neighborhood, aren’t ya?

PHILLIP
Yeah, yes I am.
KEVIN
Cool cool. My name is Kevin Hughes. I live around here.

PHILLIP
Oh, hi, I’m Phillip.

The two of them walk side by side along the street.

KEVIN
So why’d you move here?

PHILLIP
My dad got a new job here. I’m quite glad we moved.

KEVIN
Glad? Why?

PHILLIP is about to speak, then stops himself. He thinks for a

moment, then speaks.

PHILLIP
Oh you know just… this area is nicer and that.

KEVIN
Mmm.

PHILLIP
Anyway this is my road here so I’m gonna-

INT: PHILLIP'S BEDROOM WINDOW - NIGHT

PHILLIP gazes outside his window, deep in thought. He is

gazing out onto his garden, slightly lit by the setting sun.
He looks at his phone, with the time showing 3:00AM.
An unpleasant sound effect, like the noise of a broken record
scratching, builds up until the scene cuts.

EXT: SCHOOL ENTRANCE - DAY

PHILLIP looks around. There are a few groups of kids hanging

out with each other. He looks over at one group who are
laughing with each other. He starts to head towards them, but
they leave before he gets there. Frustrated, he stands with
his head down.

KEVIN
Phillip!

PHILLIP whips his head round to see Kevin standing outside the
school.

PHILLIP
Oh, hi. Do you go to this school?

KEVIN
Oh no, I-

KEVIN gets a call on his phone and answers it. PHILLIP waits
as he talks. Eventually he hangs up the phone.

KEVIN
Ugh, so annoying. I need to clear my head. Do you wanna go for
a walk? I’ll show you around the area.

PHILLIP
Alright yeah, cool.

Camera pans round PHILLIP, as it pans, the shot fades to

another shot, which is panning round at the same speed but
taking us to a different location.

EXT: FIELD - AFTERNOON

PHILLIP and KEVIN walk together.

KEVIN
So be honest - why do you really prefer it here?

PHILLIP
What?

KEVIN
You told me you like it here because it's a nice area, but
I’ve never met a kid who wanted to leave their friends to go
to ‘a nicer area’.

PHILLIP
Well, that’s why.

KEVIN
What, you just didn’t like your friends or?
 PHILLIP
No

KEVIN
Were they boring?

PHILLIP
I didn’t have any friends. My life was awful. My hope is that
people here are… nicer.

KEVIN
Wow. That sounds tough. I knew there was something else.
Listen, if you want my advice - be very careful who you trust.
You can trust very few people in this world.

PHILLIP
Hmm, maybe you’re right.

Camera flickers and cuts to a zoomed in shot of a CIVILIAN

walking towards PHILLIP. Dolly zoom shot on PHILLIP with a
scared face.

PHILLIP
What the hell?

CIVILIAN increases their pace and marches towards PHILLIP.

KEVIN
He’s probably some criminal. Run, Phillip! Run!

PHILLIP darts away from the scene without looking back. A wide
shot shows the CIVILIAN standing confused.

EXT: STREET - AFTERNOON

PHILLIP stops running and catches his breath. He looks around

and searches for KEVIN. He scratches his head in confusion,
then shrugs. He starts to walk home.

As he is walking he gets a call.

PHILLIP
Hello?

KEVIN
You’re welcome Phillip. The chances are that that guy could’ve
had a knife, and an intent to rob.

PHILLIP
 Wow, how did you know?

KEVIN
I can just tell. It’s always good to be on the safe side.

PHILLIP doesn’t reply.

KEVIN
You can trust almost no one, PHILLIP.

KEVIN hangs up. PHILLIP ponders.

EXT: OUTSIDE SHOP - DAY

PHILLIP stands outside a shop on his own with his head down.
Suddenly, a swoosh sound effect quickly plays, and as it ends,
KEVIN appears on screen.

KEVIN
Mate, what are you doing standing out here?

PHILLIP
I’m… hungry.

KEVIN
Are you gonna get some food or just stand there?

PHILLIP
I haven’t got very much money. I don’t know what to get.

KEVIN gets closer to PHILLIP and leans in close.

KEVIN
Listen, you want food? Just take it. Look around.

As KEVIN speaks, the camera shows different civilians walking

around in poor clothes.

KEVIN
Everyone is on the brink of bankruptcy. Society is limiting
people like you to nor more than a bar of chocolate for lunch
and expecting you to be content with life. They don’t care
about you. Just steal it - it's the only sustainable way.

PHILLIP
Really? I could get caught.

KEVIN
If you’re too slow you could.
PHILLIP takes a deep breath, before making his way to the shop
entrance. He goes inside, and the camera stays outside the
shop whilst he carries out his mission. Muffled audio shows us
what is going on inside:

SHOPKEEPER
Oi! Don’t you dare take that out of here!

Get back here!

PHILLIP bursts out of the shop door with food in his hands.
KEVIN laughs as he approaches him.

PHILLIP
Come on, let's go!

The two of them run away from the scene and escape the
shopkeeper. From behind the two runners, the camera sinks to
the ground and transitions to black then sinks from the sky
for the next scene.

EXT: STREET - DAY

KEVIN and PHILLIP shake hands joyously, then both catch their
breath.

KEVIN
See, all shopkeepers care about is their money. You can’t
trust anyone.

PHILLIP
You helped me. Can’t I trust you.

KEVIN
Yes. It seems I’m the only one you can really trust.

PHILLIP nods and looks down.

KEVIN
Listen, you know what might make you feel better?

PHILLIP
What?

KEVIN
A part of your life was ruined by those bullies, and you
struggle to recover from it. You need closure. Closure in the
form of revenge.
 PHILLIP
Revenge? How would I-

KEVIN
Revenge!

PHILLIP
How?

KEVIN
However you want. Whatever you believe that they deserve.

PHILLIP
(Shrugging)
I don’t know. I can’t think.

KEVIN
Don’t think, feel. How did they make you feel, Phillip?

PHILLIP
Bad, I dunno-

KEVIN
(Shouting)
How did they make you feel?

PHILLIP
I felt like I was dying. Each day I felt less and less like I
was truly living. I spend every day trying to escape that
feeling.

KEVIN
You’ll can be free of this torture, Phillip. You must make
them feel how you felt.

PHILLIP
Dead?

KEVIN
Yes.

PHILLIP
Are you saying I should-

KEVIN
Yes. Once you do this, you can finally move on. That’s all I
want for you, mate. I want you to move on and enjoy life.

PHILLIP
So do I.
Camera flickers to transition to the next scene.

ACT THREE

EXT: CAR PARK - EVENING

PHILLIP and KEVIN wait around in a car park above a building.

PHILLIP is pacing around nervously.

KEVIN
How do you know they’ll be here?

PHILLIP
I don’t. But this is where they always used to hang out. I
assume they will be here today.

Suddenly, two people walk round the corner. It is BULLY 1 and

BULLY 2, but their faces are very hard to see. Tense,
unpleasant music starts playing. KEVIN whispers.

KEVIN
Trust me, Phillip, this is what you must do.

PHILLIP strides over with haste. He shouts at the bullies and

catches their attention.

PHILLIP
Oi!

He pulls out a knife. His eyes resemble the shape of someone

high on cocaine. BULLY 1 and BULLY 2 start to back away.

PHILLIP
Come here!

PHILLIP darts after them, catching up to BULLY 2 and slicing

his throat. He jumps on BULLY 1 and takes him to the ground.
He punches him ruthlessly, before stabbing his knife deep
inside of him. He gets up slowly, as if he’s just accomplished
something phenomenal.

KEVIN
(Shocked)
What have you done?

PHILLIP
 What?

As KEVIN says the next lines, PHILLIP’S view blurs in and out.

KEVIN
You- killed them- are you crazy.

PHILLIP rubs his eyes.

PHILLIP
I don’t understand? Kevin?

Suddenly, KEVIN slowly starts to fade from the shot, leaving

Phillip in disbelief. He stands in shock, before whipping his
head round to see the two victims of his crime. As if having
gained a new sense of consciousness, he rushes over to check
them, and sees that they look nothing like BULLY 1 and BULLY
2, they were just random people. PHILLIP gasps. He reaches for
his phone and calls what he thinks is KEVIN. It goes to
voicemail.

PHILLIP
Kevin, I don’t know what just happened but I know you’re
somewhere. I think I’m in shock. You’re the only person I can
trust, I need your help. Kevin?

He looks at his hand and sees that there is no phone. The dim
light that lights him flickers then goes out, leaving him in
darkness.

Contingency Plan
What are your plans for if something goes wrong? What back up actors, locations and
equipment do you have?

After hiring out equipment, we have realised we cannot hire out the smoke machine and
LED panels. Luckily, Archie and Luke have equipment that we can use like an LED panels
instead of using college equipment. As Archie and Millie are not acting, they can be back up
actors if needed and as we are filming in Emmer Green Archie and Millie can ask their
friends to act in case one of our actors drop out. At the moment, we are planning on filming
in the Oracle car park but as backup car park, we will use the Aldi car park near Reading
Station. We will bring backup batteries in case something runs out and use Archie’s house if
we cannot use Millie’s.
