Case Analysis: The Kimpton Experience

1. If you are a guest in one of the properties of Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants,
would the abovementioned extras make a difference to your hotel stay? Support
your answer.
Answer: Yes, based on the Kimptons' hotels, they offer different kinds of services that
make me feel relaxed and satisfied as a guest. Because of the aforementioned amenities,
my stay has become more interesting and comfortable. It meets my existing and
anticipated needs during my stay. As far as what it offers, it enhances the travel and
experience from ordinary to extraordinary, letting me believe that the money I paid was
well spent. What they give for fresh spin and flex appeal is very handy for me, and
speaking of convenience, their offer "forgot it, we've got it" is quite reassuring. It makes
you feel like you don't have to worry about anything because they have everything you
need without you asking for it. They provide the things that some hotels can’t offer. It
means that their establishment has a positive impact on their possible customers. Aside
from that, I would also like to see their approach to the guest that would like to stay. They
need to show me that they have the best accommodation to fulfill my expectations and
the way they handle and communicate to other guests.

2. If you are an owner of a restaurant/bar, how can you improve the meal
experience of your guests? What strategies can you apply? What extras will you
offer? Why?

As a restaurant/bar owner, I'll use a basic strategy but is also the most necessary which is
constantly ensure that the food is fresh when serving it, and always offer a new menu
item. Another is a well-trained employee who has mastered the art of customer service
and will enhance the restaurant's public image by providing a smooth and outstanding
service experience to the guest. I'll also run a loyalty deal for my regular customers to
show them that we appreciate them always picking our restaurant.  Also, I will request
feedback and suggestions from my customers so that I can enhance or improve the food
that I will serve them, ensuring that it meets their expectations and satisfaction, as it is the
most significant duty we have to perform. Last but not least, we'll incorporate something
unique that customers won't find or experience in any other restaurant or bar—a service
that only we can offer, a service that is completely different to them.
