IV. Project Duration 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m., on the 24th of April, the 1st, 8th,
and 15th of May.

The objective of the operation "DISPENSING OF

FACE MASKS AND FACE SHIELDS TO BARANGAY
KALUNASAN AND BARANGAY BACAYAN" is to
maintain the safety health protocols being
V. Objectives of the implemented by the government and to provide such
Project to some people in the Barangay who are unable to
follow the protocol due to financial inadequacy. The
specific objectives are as follows:

•To give at least five (5) face masks and one (1)
face shield to selected residents within the
aforementioned Barangays.
•To lessen the spreading of Covid-19 virus.
•To provide sufficient personal protective
equipment to ensure resident's safety.

This operation, if done well, will benefit the

implementers and beneficiaries in a way that they will
gain knowledge and insights towards spreading
kindness during these trying times.

Background of the Project

Face masks has become a prominent equipment significant

in the area of effective protection from stopping airborne
transmission. Disposable masks and face shields act as a
protective shield of the individuals and prevent direct
contact with the viral droplets. This keeps a person safe by
VI. Project Description stopping the the entrance of infections through oral and
nasal areas.

Justification of the Project

3

According to the study of (Michaël Rochoy, Thibaut

Fabacher, Isabelle Cosperec, Jean-Michel Wendling)
entitled Experimental efficacy of the face shield and the
mask against emitted and potentially received particles, in
their experimental situation, face shields and masks have
the ability to reduce the amount of particles emitted and
received. When the emitter wears face protection, it
mainly decreases the number of particles detected, and so
when the receiver wears face protections.

Benefits Derived from the Project

This proposal will benefit but not limited to:

RESIDENTS. The distribution of face masks and

shields would act as a reminder to the residents to
observe health guidelines. Further, this will remove the
slim incentive to break them since residents are
provided with the things needed.

COMMUNITY. Since this proposal encourages

residents to follow protocols, it will help to reduce the
spread of COVID-19 in both barangays.

Coverage of the Project

Face masks and face shields should be distributed

primarily in the Barangays of Kalunasan and Bacayon.
The target population will be 15 residents from Unit 1,
Unit 2, Sugarlandia, and Sitio Common.

The initial preparation takes place in the first week

of project implementation. The implementers will ask
assistance from the project proponents to prepare the
money to be used in the purchasing of materials such
as face masks and face shields to be dispensed.

On the second and third Saturday, the

implementers will disseminate the face mask and face
shields. Following this step is to take pictures and
VII. Methodology
write the location of the residents to comply for the
fourth Saturday.

Lastly, on the fourth Saturday, the implementers

will gather data about the result of the project. This
step will involve interviewing the respondents who
receive the face masks and face shields.
