REACTION PAPER

Ayala Land Inc. have a long history of doing real estate and property management and construction
even before its split with Ayala Corporation. The company has kept itself ahead of its competitors
through a mix of advantages mainly its age and source of resources. I think it started ahead of its
competitors because it started as the real estate division of Ayala Corporation. Considering this, it
already had access to the financial resources required for the operations of the company from its
parent company. Besides this, it has been gaining and building its strong reputation in the
Philippine real estate industry.

Ayala Land Inc. owes its reputation to its strategies, objectives, and values being geared to
futuristic aims with the foci of sustainability and pioneering innovations. The company solidified
their great reputation with their portfolio of numerous successful projects and, impressively,
maintained to instil their values into every single project in their portfolio. In my opinion, it is only
by experiencing their projects in person can one understand how Ayala Land Inc. expressed and
maintained to enforce their commitments to sustainability and introducing better living standards
to Filipinos.

With regards to the architectural business, I believe that Ayala Land Inc. is a great model to follow
for future start-up firms who ultimately aim to become as big as this real estate giant. More
importantly, regardless of the business aiming high or not, it should take this company as an
example for what the architectural business should really be about: for the betterment of society
and the environment. Ayala Land Inc. is the first pioneer in the architectural industry and, I believe,
will remain to be an inspiration for future businesses. Getting to know the inner working of this
company, even on a shallow lens, has enlightened me to other possibilities and ideas that I might
apply to my own business; if ever that day may come.
