Intercultural Affairs

 Assist Director and Associate Director with departmental programming centered around
diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and social justice.
 Serve as head liaison between ICA and the Department of Campus Activities for the
university-wide annual Drag Show.
 Supervise fifteen undergraduate students that make up the Intercultural Affairs Council, a
student-led auxiliary group.
 Represent the department through tabling events and serving on university committees.
 Assist in the creation, coordination, and implementation of Safe Zone trainings.
 Serve on LGBTQIA+ Working Group amongst other university faculty and staff.
 Promote and provide advocacy for all students through mentorship, support, and
educational leadership.
 Recruit prospective students through WCU Open House, community events, and high
school visits.
 Facilitate academic consultations with student leaders in our Culturally Aligned
Retention Enhancement program (Project C.A.R.E).
 Co-coordinate programming such as the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Week, Hats
Off to Women, and Graduation Celebration.
