Daily Learning Plan in English 7 (Fourth Quarter)

I. OBJECTIVE:

At the end of the 60-minute class discussion, the Grade-7 learners should have expressed one’s
beliefs/convictions based on the material viewed. (EN7VC-IV-g-16)

II. SUBJECT MATTER:


A. Topic: Expressing one’s beliefs/convictions based on the material viewed
B. Subject Integration: Social studies
C. Reference/s: Curriculum guide in English 7 page 161 and www.google.com (for the information).
D. Materials: Visual aid and chalkboard
E. Value Focus: Love of country

III. PROCEDURE
A. Activity
1. Preliminary Activity
* Prayer
* Greeting of the class
*Classroom cleanliness
*Checking of attendance
*Recapitulation of the previous lesson

2. Main Activity
* Divide the class into two
* Paste 4 pictures on the board.
* Then ask the students if what they are all about.
* The pictures were all about Filipino culture and beliefs.
* Give them 3 minutes to brainstorm and answer.

B. Analysis
1. How did you find the activity?
2. Do you think that beliefs or convictions are important?
3. What are some beliefs that you’ve known?

C. Abstraction
* Let the students read the story “The Universals” by Dr. Cleofe M. Bacungan on page 485 of the
book.
* Explain briefly each paragraph.
Generalization
Ask the students for the brief summary of “ The Universals”.

D. Application (Reporting)
* Still with the same group, let the students, let the students pick one task card.
* Tell them to open their book on page 483. They will answer the qustions on tack 3.
* Distribute materials for reporting

IV. EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT: (Triad)


* Tell the students that they will answer the questions in the Bingo card on page 487. Remind
them to read the direction carefully
* Let them write this in a 1/2 crosswise. Give them 7 minutes to do this.

V. ASSIGNMENT/AGREEMENT:

Read and study on how to draw similarities and differences of stories.
