STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

My name is Eva Sultana, and I am now highly interested in applying for MSc in International
Business & Management at the University of Portsmouth in order to pursue my career
ambitions. which has a five-star rating. Business activities done across national borders is
International Business. The International business is the purchasing and selling of the goods,
commodities, and services outside its national borders.

In terms of academic achievements, I have completed my Bachelor of Business Administration

(BBA) degree in Accounting & Information Systems from International Islamic University,
Chittagong in 2014 with a CGPA of 3.365 on a scale of 4. From 1st March 2014 until the
present, I worked as a “Senior Sales Executive” at Gold Mine Holdings Ltd.Prior to obtaining
my BBA, I completed my HSC in 2009 with a GPA of 4.10 out of 5 and my SSC in 2007 with
a GPA of 3.31 out of 5.

Throughout this degree, I will learn about key themes, including corporate strategy, financial
management, international business, and global sustainability. In this course, I will get a deeper
understanding of business and management topics in an international context. I will learn about
key themes, including corporate strategy, financial management, international business, and
global sustainability. I will gain the ability to recognize and critically analyses pertinent
academic ideas and business data in order to assess the cultural decisions that a firm must make
in a global market and incorporate those decisions into the marketing mix. I will gain the ability
to apply and analyses academic and commercial sources to choose, critically assess, and present
recommendations for adaption or standardization of the marketing mix effectively and
succinctly. I will gain knowledge of the fundamental principles of marketing and how to apply
them in a global setting. I am keen to develop my business and management skills with a focus
on international business. I will get a deeper understanding of business and management topics
in an international context. I will graduate with a comprehensive understanding of international
business and management issues and be qualified for a career in any organization in any corner
of the world.

I prefer to study in the United Kingdom over Bangladesh because it would provide me with
access to world-class educational resources that would allow me to transform my skills into
real world working abilities. The United Kingdom was picked for its high-quality education,
moderate tuition costs, and relaxed attitude. It's a welcoming country with a diversified
population and English-speaking residents. When I first started looking into study abroad
choices, I realized that the most well-known international education locations include the
United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Canada, and Germany. The United Kingdom
has world class living standards and infrastructure, as well as much lower study and living costs
than the other featured countries.
In Portsmouth, England, the Institution of Portsmouth is a top-ranked public university. In the
QS Global World University Rankings 2021, it is ranked 601–649th.Most crucially, it is the
greatest university in the UK for improving graduate salaries, according to a survey conducted
by The Economist in 2017. Another interesting statistic is that Portsmouth is among the top 30
institutions in the UK for student happiness, according to the National Student Survey (NSS)
2020.It is also a gold-rated university according to the Teaching Excellence Framework.
Furthermore, 94 percent of graduates are employed after graduation, according to the 2019
HESA graduate outcome report. So, after considering all of the factors, I've decided to attend
the University of Portsmouth for my higher education.

Hence, studying my MSc International Business & Management from such a famous and
recognized university and graduating with honours to pursue my future job aspirations is more
than a pipe dream. The knowledge I will receive from the University of Portsmouth will not
only supplement my current academic background, but it will also give me the confidence to
pursue a managerial position in a respectable firm anywhere in the world. So that once I
complete my studies, I may return to Bangladesh and help the people, but my professional goal
is to work as a Business Development Executive in a Microfinance Organisations such as ASA,
Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation, IPDC Finance Ltd and many more.

I am very excited to be doing an MSc in International Business & Management at your great
university. I'm committed to succeed and eager to embrace every opportunity that comes my
way.
