Dear Sir/Madam,
After the situations in my family stabilizing & Covid-19 situations normalizing around the world,
me & my family has decided to make a fresh start for my higher studies & complete my
Bachelors in the USA because American degrees are highly recognized and valued by employers
in Bangladesh. My plan is to complete my Bachelor’s in Queens College & I have decided to
choose International Business for my undergraduate studies as this opens a vast field of career
pathways for me to choose from than which I would get from my previous marketing studies.
After completing the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) in International Business I
intend to return to my home country and start my job career in a multinational organization. It
is a norm in Bangladesh that only candidates with degree from reputed foreign countries get
high position jobs. Obtaining this degree will give me competitive advantage in the job market
in Bangladesh. I will be able to work in virtually every industry as international relations
manager, international trade adviser, international political adviser, import/export manager,
international business analyst, business development officer, communications manager,
operations analyst, management consultant and many more positions.
The B.B.A in International Business will provide me a platform to explore specific issues of doing
business in a globalized world, including those of a financial and economic order, as well as
skills related to specific situations in marketing and management. The course perfectly suits me
because I plan to make a career in the strategies, corporate policies and operations of
international firms in this era of globalization. Through the course will learn how international
business is different room conventional business how globalization is changing the way business
and commerce around the world. Additionally, I can enhance my skills in different languages as
I will get training of foreign languages during my studies. I have already studied relevant
subjects of the International Business program such as Introduction to economics, Business
Mathematics, Macro-Economics and International Economics. I am excited to study new
subjects in the Bachelors program such as International Business Law, Financial Accounting,
Statistics, Marketing, Corporate Finance, International Management, Intercultural
Management, Innovation Management, Human Resource Management, Company Taxation and
Information Management.
The United States of America is known to scientists, researchers, teachers as well as students all
over the world as the country that has been the most successful in establishing a truly
praiseworthy higher education system with fast-track degrees, creative studying atmosphere,
world’s best and brightest minds as professors and for producing innovative ideas every day for
the rest of the world. For this reason I have chosen the United States as the preferred
destination for my higher studies.
Stated in the North Atlantic coast of the United States of America in the heart of New York, with
over 20,000 students & ranked Best Value College by Forbes Magazine, Princeton Review &
World report. The affordability of the programs & geographical position were the key factors
that hooked me towards Queens College. With its venture with CUNY (City university of New
York) harnessing a vast & rigorous education structure, with opportunities of internships & first-
hand experiences in practical training enables students enhance their skills & knowledge based
application.
Even though I had the opportunity to obtain a bachelors degree in Bangladesh, the probability
of my getting a prestigious position with a good starting salary in any well-known multi-national
corporation operating in Bangladesh is very slim. The best positions are usually filled with
graduates from foreign universities. And even if I can secure a moderately good job in a desired
company, it will be almost impossible for me to climb the proverbial corporate ladder because I
will be competing for promotion with foreign degree holders and any possibility of my rising to
the top will be incessantly nipped in the bud. This is a very common occurrence in companies
based in Bangladesh and I have seen this happening to too many of my family members and
friends. Therefore, I prefer not to go through such an experience and regret for the rest of my
life for not pursuing a foreign degree when I had time. For this reason I have decided to study in
Queens College at this juncture of my life. I believe, if given the opportunity then utilizing this
degree I will do very well for myself as well as for my country.
