Table 1. Reflective Inquiry Activities of Grade 12 HUMSS Students.

Table 1. presents the Reflective Inquiry Activities of Grade 12 - HUMSS Students.

There were ten (10) activities used in making reflections. It could be gleaned

from this data that Reflective Essays gained the highest weighted mean

garnering the average score of 4.17. The second to the highest weighted mean

gathered the standard outcome of 4.00 which is the Quotes (Reflection in Quotes,

etc.). Alongside, Small Group Discussions attained 3.44 weighted mean. At last,

Slogans seized the undermost weighted mean that fruits 3.41.

In distinction of the population of Grade 12 HUMSS Students of Bauan

Technical Integrated High School, the outcome presents that Slogans are the

most infrequent reflective inquiry activity, while Reflective Essays are the

uttermost used activity in making reflections of Grade 12 - HUMSS Students of

Bauan Technical High School during the Modular Distance Learning.

This result is supported by the study conducted by Stephen Maloney, Joanna

Hong-Meng Tai,cKristin Lo, Elizabeth Molloy & Dragan Ilic (2012) to their study

entitled “Honesty in Critically Reflective Essays: An Analysis of Student Practice”

that claims reflective practice is seen as a potential means for self-improvement

from everyday clinical encounters. This study aims to examine the level of

student honesty in critical reflection, and barriers and facilitators for students

engaging in honest reflection.

Table 2. Student’s Perceptions about Reflection.

Table 2. showcases the perceptions of Grade 12 HUMSS students about

Reflective Inquiry Activities. As shown in the table beneath, almost 4.59 of them

believes that Reflection builds on student knowledge. Moreover, almost 4.53 of

them strongly agreed that Reflection challenges students to come up with their

own views based on presented. On the other hand, 4.23 conjointly acknowledge

that Reflection allows student to question what exists within society. After a long

run, there were 4.14 students regard that Reflective Inquiry helps to create

From the population of Grade 12 HUMSS Students of Bauan Technical

Integrated High School the aftermath of all Grade 12 HUMSS Students bear

contrasting apprehension about the effect of Reflections in their academic

progress.

This product is sustained by the study counseled by Chang, Bo (2019) to their

study entitled “Reflection in Learning” wherein this study explored the impact of

reflection on learning in an online learning environment. Reflection was

purposefully designed and embedded in various assignments. Five themes were

generalized in terms of how reflection impacts learning: Increasing the depth of

knowledge, identifying the areas which are missing or deficient, personalizing

and contextualizing knowledge, providing comparative references in learning,

and helping learners build structural connections in knowledge and social

connections among learners. This study provides foundational ideas for

designing reflective activities to promote students' learning in an online learning

environment.
