REFLECTION
Based on the video posted by Dr. Refugio, I now know that an abstract outline the scope of the
research report and what the audience may anticipate from the study. I've discovered that while
writing an abstract, especially one on research methods, it's not necessary to describe every step
of the procedure; instead, simply the key findings should be described precisely. When our study
is complete, everything I have learnt in this video will undoubtedly be useful to me in creating
our abstract.

REACTION
Ms. Banguiz’s statement that an abstract enables readers to determine whether the research
revealed is relevant to their own research is something I couldn't agree more. Because she
clarified each phrase as carefully and thoroughly as she could, the discussant was able to discuss
the idea of writing abstract without repeating information. She also adhered to one of the
fundamental guidelines for creating presentations by filling her PPT presentation with concise
and clear material. She speaks clearly and loudly enough. Her lecture was incredibly educational
and she made it simple to grasp. Overall, the presentation was excellent.

SUMMARY
The aforementioned video posted by Dr. Refugio provides an introduction to the concept, use
examples, format, and significance of research paper abstracts. Ms. Banguiz, the discussant,
claims that an abstract includes a concise yet comprehensive description of the study report. She
underlines that an abstract should be written in a straightforward and exact manner. She also
pointed out that papers for journals, conferences, and open-access publications frequently have
abstracts.

In addition, the research paper's findings and research methods are presented in the abstract
along with a quick summary of the whole study. Together with learning the precise meaning of
abstract, its significance was also covered. A research paper's abstract is crucial because it
communicates an understanding of the investigation and its findings. It aids readers in figuring
out whether the research paper is pertinent to the subject they are looking for to cover in their
research paper.

Furthermore, Ms. Banguiz also emphasizes the format that should be used while drafting an
abstract. It contains a background or literature review, research methodologies, research findings,
commentary, and general conclusions. She continued, saying that characters in an abstract are
constrained and that neither symbols nor references are permitted. Despite all the guidelines to
adhere to, it is crucial to compose the abstract in the proper sequence. A summary of the many
parts that make up an abstract's structure was also provided, starting with the background
information or literature review and ending with the discussion and conclusions. Eventually, the
reporter offers some abstract example. She outlined the mistakes in the sample in detail. The
outcome, according to her, was not included in the abstract.
