D. ANALYSIS
Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity Teacher’s Note
Now that we already
know the definition of
truthfulness, accuracy,
and viewing.
Now I’ll be discussing
the indication of
truthfulness and
accuracy of the
material viewed. This
will help you to
determine if the
information you read or
viewed online is
credible, reliable, and
valid, therefore you
should be able to
evaluate if the material
is accurate and
truthful. Be it for social
media posts, news,
educational articles, or
videos. As a student,
you should be vigilant
with the post you
viewed online, you
should not easily
believe in everything
you see online,
especially if their
purpose is to inform,
educate and or
persuade.
The teacher will share
the indication on how
to determine the
truthfulness and
accuracy of the
material viewed.
1. The Same
information can
be found in
other reliable
sources.
2. The sources
used for
documentation
are known to be
generally
reliable.
Establishing the
accuracy of multimedia
sources can be
challenging because
they often represent a
combination of facts,
opinions, and
perspectives from
different individuals.
For example,
newspapers, books and
etc. And do not trust
anonymous sources.
3. The author of
the information
is known to
have expertise
on that subject.
An important aspect of
accuracy is the
intellectual integrity of
the item. Errors of logic
occur primarily in the
presentation of
conclusions, opinions,
interpretations,
editorials, ideas, etc.
Examples of logical
fallacies are name-
calling and insults. To
attack a person’s
character. To question
their motives, calling
them hypocrites or any
argument that targets
the source and etc.
5. Quotations are
“in context”.

indication of
truthfulness and
accuracy of the
material viewed? Give
me two (2) indications.
Very good! The response may vary.
Class always
remember, in
determining the
truthfulness and
accuracy of the
information is
important in making
decisions. The acquired
facts or information
should be reliable and
must be based on
truth. Your decisions
may be wrong if you
have inaccurate and
misleading facts or
information. Knowing
the truthfulness and
accuracy of the
material viewed is the
foundation of good
communication. And
always put in our mind
that not everything we
see or read on social
media is true and
accurate. Factual
information is a must!
Our awareness of what
is happening around
us should always be
based on the truth.
Again, Truthfulness is
based on facts and
truth and nothing but
the truth.
Accuracy is exact and
correct.
Viewing is the act of
seeing and taking a
look.
F. Application
Teacher’s Activity Student’s Teacher’s
Activity Note
Now let’s have an activity.
2. Facts

is coming from is
not important in
judging what
they have to say.
6. It is a bad idea to
read or listen to
many different
stories, or
reports, on the
same
issue/subject to
help you
determine where
the truth lies.
