HOW TO USE THIS DOCUMENT

ABOUT THE TRAINING NEEDS ANALYSIS FORM

Under the CBT approach, each learner is assessed to find the gap between
the skills they need (as described in the Training Package) and the skills they
already have. The difference between the two is called the training gap.
Training gap are also refered to the learner's training needs.

This document is an innovative Self-Assessment Guide with Training Needs


Analysis form prepared by our expert. This is made for you to easily identify
your learners' training gap, and can be use in individualizing instruction
strategies.

PROCEDURE IN USING THIS FORM


*Trainer fills out the evidence requirements needed. It can be derived from
Competency Standards.

*Trainee will self-assess his/her competency by checking (√ ) the columns


'No', 'Some', and 'Extensive' if the knowledge is achieved.

*If the knowledge is 'Extensive', the student must write the evidence to be
presented. Evidence can be a certificate of employment, or certificate of
attendance in seminars and trainings.

*Trainer must validate the evidences presented (through portfolio assessment)

*Identify the training needs. There is a need or gap if there is (1) no


knowledge achieved in evidence requirements, or (2) evidence presented is
not valid or not sufficient to support competency.

*Note any recommendation, if needed.
