    The urinary system functions to extract waste from the blood and remove it from the body. It consists of the kidneys, which form urine; the ureters, which carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder; the bladder, a storage organ; and the urethra, which carries urine from the bladder out of the body. The kidneys contain nephrons that filter waste from the blood into urine, which is then stored in the bladder and expelled through the urethra in a process called micturition.

    URINARY SYSTEM

     The principal function of the urinary


    system is the extraction and removal
    of waste products from the blood.
     Consist of:
    2 ureters
    2 kidney
    bladder
    Urethra
    A.Kidney - primary organ for urine
    formation.
    B.Ureters – conveys urine from pelvis to
    the kidney to the bladder
    C.Urinary bladder – hollow muscular
    organ varies in size and position with
    the amount of urine it contains
    D.Urethra – common passageway of
    urine and sperm.
