Structure

- Covered Court
Design Consideration
- Covered court is considered to be placed on BUBI 6, near the proposed chapel
which is also in the same area. It was decided to be next to the chapel so that the
covered court can cater some people who wants to attend the mass. The
researchers also considered the fact that the covered court may serve as the
barangay’s evacuation center.
- According to Section 804 of NBCP, the minimum horizontal dimension of court
shall not be less than 2.00 meters. The proponents use 14.00 meters width in
designing the covered court.
- According to Section 1213 (g) of NBCP, each side of the stage must have at
least one exit that is not less than 900 millimeters wide opening directly or by
means of a passageway not less than 900 millimeters in width to a street or exit
court. The proponents use 900 mm wide stage exit.
- The stage that was located at the southern part of the covered court with one
side allocated for storage of the equipment while the other part is for two
restroom – one for man and one for women.
Materials
- The materials that will be used for the construction of the covered court will be
further discussed on the cost estimation of the project after the canvasing of
materials needed.
- Steel Trusses will be used for the roof framing of the covered court.
Cost
- Since there is only a limited budget for BUBI structures, the construction of
covered court will utilize cost-effective materials which are budget-friendly but
maintains its good quality for long-term usage of the occupants.
Manpower
- The construction of the covered court will require physically fit construction
workers and masons who are experienced in construction work, tiling, painting,
electrical and plumbing works, and more.
Structure Inspo
- The generated design of the covered court with stage is from the Covered Court
with Bleachers and Stage project of DPWH at Negros Occidental.
