Blessing for Married Couples*

‫ אֲׁשֶ ר ּב ָָרא אֶת חּוּקִי ָהנִישּואִין ּומָ סַר לָנּו אֹותָ ם ּכְדֵ י‬,‫ אֱלֹוהִים‬,‫ּבְרֹוְך אַּתָ ה‬
‫ׁשֶ ּי ָמֵינּו י ִתְ מַ ּלְאּו ּבְׂשִמְ חָה וִידִ ידֹות‬.
‫ ּבְׂשִמְ חָה‬,‫ׁשֶהּוא י ַאֲ ִריְך אֶת ַחּי ֵינּו הַּמְׁשֻּתָ פִים וִימַ ּלֵא אֶת י ָמֵינּו ּבְַא ֲהבָה‬
‫ּובְׁשַ ְלוָה‬.
‫ ַּכהֲדַ ּסָה ְו ַּכרּות‬,‫י ְשִימְֵך אֱֹלהי ִם אֹותְ ָך ּכַאֲ בִיגַי ִל‬.
‫ יַעֲקֹוב ּובֹועַז‬,‫יַעֲׂשֶה אֱֹלהי ִם אֹותִ י ּכְמֹו ַאב ְָרהָם‬.

Barukh attah Elohim, asher bara et huqqi haniyshu'iyn oomasar lanu otam kədei sheyyameinu
yittəmalloo, bəsimchah, vədiydot.

Shehhu yaariykh et chayeinu hamishuttaphiym viymalei et yameinu bəahavah, bəsimchah, oovəshalvah.

Yəsiymeikh Elohim otəkhah ka-Avigayil, ka-Hadassah, vəkaRuth.

Ya'aseh Elohim otiy kəmo Avraham, Ya'aqov, u'Voaz.

Blessed are you, O God, who created the laws of marriage and handed them over to us so that our days
would be filled with joy and friendship.

May he prolong our life together and fill our days with love, joy, and peace.

May God make you like Abigail, like Hadassah, and like Ruth.

May God make me like Abraham, Jacob and Boaz.
