Subject: 5-7 Reveal Math

Date: 03/13/2023

Opening: Today we will be learning how to multiply with the 7 and 9 factors

Objective/Goal/Learning Target: Students will be able to use familiar strategies and

build off of their foundational skills to solve multiplication equations using the factors 1-
10

“I can use strategies that I have been learning to decompose factors in equations to solve
for my answer.”

Preview/Introduction: Project lesson starting on elmo for students to notice and

wonder

Closing: Explain to students before sending them off for independent work that
today we focused on decomposing familiar numbers and I want them to show me
they can do that and use other strategies to do the next set of problems

Formative Assessment: Typically, we do not have time to go over the independent

problems, so I will ask the students to keep their math workbooks out. I will go
around while they are at specials and give them a star if they have the correct
answers. For the students that get some wrong, I hold onto their workbooks and at
some point in the day I will call them over to quickly go over the wrong answers.
