1. What are Cloud Computing Service Providers?

Cloud computing is the access to computing services, such as databases and software,
through the internet, or “public cloud,” to store and manage data, as opposed to storing data
on a hard drive or local server. The internet and the cloud are not synonymous. The internet
makes cloud computing possible (Beskeen et al., 2019)
2. What is platform as a service?
Platform as a Service (Paas) allows customers to run their own applications without the
responsibility of managing underlying servers (Beskeen et al., 2019).
3. What are two benefits of cloud computing?

a. Cost: Cloud computing allows companies to run their websites without the expense of
buying hardware, software, and the energy expense of running these devices.
b. Broad network access: Cloud services can be reached from any device connected to the
internet at any given time (Beskeen et al., 2019).

4. Disadvantages of cloud computing

Being connected to the cloud is dependent on being connected to the internet. If your internet
connection is lost, or your service shuts down for maintenance occasionally, you won’t be
able to work during those periods of time (Spiteri, 2020).
