 REFLECTION PAPER

Work Immersion is one of the requirements needed in Senior High to graduate. Student-trainee should

complete the 80 hours in 2weeks only. Having the immersion was a good start to experience the real world.

This experience helps me on how to be a responsible person and it helps me to enhance my skills and my

knowledge.

I Learned many things during my immersion. Just like blow drying, ironing, coloring and the correct

process of making people beautiful specially in their hair. I also learned to work with initiative and to clean

and kept all things in proper way. It’s a little bit difficult because you have to move fast in closing and

opening the door. You must also have a pleasing personality, smiling face in facing and receiving

customers.

Because of my experience inside the salon, I learned how to manage my time and treat the customer

right.

As a student trainee, work immersion program provides opportunities to go through the alcohol process

of specific job using the heal fools, equipment plus the manifestation of Social-related skills which

attained and is experience. Yet it is worth it for me to experience work immersion because I know that it

gives me more knowledge, wisdom, and skills to become successful in the future.

In the end of 1800’s, saw the transition from barbershops to salon’ all over the world.

But still women were styling their hair by their servants. That’s why, started advertising

in a big way to get women out of their homes. Around this time, self-made entrepreneur

Martiha Matilda Harper opened the first public salon called “The Harper Hair Parlor”.

She started training schools and employed girls in her salon.

In the year 20’s almost 25,000 hair salon open. One of this salon, Hair Studio which

located at North Star Mall, Alibagu, City of Ilagan, Isabela. It is a modern Spanish salon

concept of beauty and wellness that can provided with quality service using reasonably

priced imported products and top reach customer service. In the beginning, Hair Studio is

not popular to the people they just passed and go in the beside salon.

In this situation, Hair Studio challenge and do their best to impress client or customer

through buying a original products and most of all show to them that they can do the

service better that what the other salon do. That’s why, Hair Studio become popular and

keep pace to other salon. Hair Studio became as the cooperating agency or work

immersion site of Tech-Voc School like San Rafael National and Vocational High School

(SRNVHS) and Isabela School of Arts and Trades (ISAT).

Hair Studio became the go-to-place for men and women to escape from their mundane

life get pampered and indulge in gossip. It keeps you relax and helps you maintain your

beauty. The envisioned of Hair Studio salon Ms. Gladys De Vera and manage by her

daughter Ms. Diane Gail De Vera with the help and support of his brother Mr. Thanks

Dear Vera. This salon start and build last October 18, 2017.
The term ‘salon” officially took over the beauty parlor. While years past, salon is

continue growing just like Hair Studio Salon, they gonna build this year another Hair

Studio Salon in Tumauini, Isabela. This will prove that salon is progressing.

The term Hair Studio from the name of the salon, give us clue that most dominant

services they offered are Haircutting which is during ancient time, they go in barbershop

but today, they directly go to salon. Also, they offered Hair Coloring to make the hair

shine and cover the white hair to those who have, Hair Straightening for those who wants

straight hair, Brazilian Keratin Treatment and Hair Perming.

In addition, they offered hand spa and foot spa with manicure and pedicure to make the

nails beauty and smooth. To relaxed your whole body and removed your skin hair, they

offered also Body Massage and Waxing.

If you want to make gorgeous, adorable and center of attraction, you try to go at Hair

Studio because they offered Traditional and Air Brush Make Up, Eye lash Extention and

Eyelash Lifting. This is the perfect salon for those who attend a party.

Hair Studio Salon is giving high quality services at low prices. It ranges from teenagers

middle aged women. It is a quite popular establishment.

November 25, 2019

We arrived at exactly 9:00am in the morning it's our first day of Immersion. At

first we our nervous because we didn't we do not know what to do. We met Ms. Mabeth

the manager of the salon. She first oriented us and discussed the rules and regulation of

the salon. After the orientation she told us to clean, sweep the floor, wipe the mirror,

cabinets, tables, chairs and we keep all the tools and materials equipment needed. At

exactly 2:00pm, Ms. Mabeth told us that we can leave at our workplace.

November 26,2019

Our errands for today was to clean the workplace like swept the floor, roll towels,

wipe mirrors, cabinets, and washed the tools that they used. After that, we kept all tools

in the cabinet. We maintain the cleanliness of the workplace before we leave the

workplace.

November 27,2019

Our errands for today were to swept the floor, wipe the cabinet, roll the towels and

wash the mixing bowl. And after that we performed shampooing, blow drying and hair

cutting and before we left the salon, we clean the workplace.

November 28,2019

We arrived at exactly 9:00 m in the morning at our workplace at hair studio. My

errands today were swept the floor, wipe the mirror, cabinets, chairs, tables, and mopping

the floor. Ms. Mabeth told us to perform hair perming with gel. After we finish the hair
perming, we volunteered to wash the hair clip and kept all materials and equipment used.

And before we leave we cleaned the workplace.

November 29,2019

Our errands for today are sweeping the floor. Wiping the mirror and rolling the

towel, After that we performed hair coloring, shampooing and final blow drying. At

exactly 2:00 pm miss MJ told to us that we can go and live in the workplace.

November 30,2019

Our errands for today are sweeping the floor, rolling the towel, wiping the

mirror, I washed the tools used I also arrange the tables, chairs and mapping the floor,

and I performed hair shampooing with treatment and blow drying and before we left the

salon ,we helped them to maintain the cleanliness of the salon.

December 02,2019

We arrive at exactly 9:00 o’clock in the morning And our errands today are

sweeping the floor, wiping the mirror and doors, tables and we voluntarily clean the

trolley tray and I performed foot spa with massage after that we clean the workplace

before we left, and we helped them to maintain the cleanliness of the salon..

December 03,2019

Our errands for today are sweeping the floor, wiping the mirror and we rolling the

towel, after that I performed hair straightening after that we arrange the chairs and

tables, and tools that we used before we left in our workplace

December 04,2019
 Our errands for today are wiping the door, sweeping the floor, arrange the tables,

chairs and we clean again the trolley and separate the tools in hair cutting, roll the towel,

washed the tools used. And I performed manicure and pedicure and we sanitize the tools

used in manicure, pedicure and we clean the workplace before we left.

Our errands for today are sweeping the floor and wiping the door and rolling

the towel, arrange the tables chair and we washed the tools used. After that Ms. Mabeth

told us we have performed the hand spa for tomorrow because we have a lot of

costumer/client today so that we performed blow drying and shampooing to the

costumer. We sanitize the tools that we used and we clean the workplace before we left .

Our errands for today are sweeping the floor, mapping the floor and wiping the

door and rolling the towel, wash the tools used and I performed hand spa with massage

and we refill the lotion. After that we clean the workplace before we left.

December 07.2019

Today is our last day I had mixed emotion like sad because I will miss my routine,

the salon staff and assisting customer, excited to tell what happen to me during

immersion day to my friends and teachers, By the way my errands today are sweeping the

floor, wiping the mirror and the door we clean the tray and arrange the catalogues and

separate the tools in hair cutting rolling towel and washed the tools used after that we

clean the workplace before we left.

 Manicure and pedicure is profoundly relaxing which also boosts confidence for

the receiver about their hygienic appearance and help have healthy hands nail and

feet.

The main reasons for this are cosmetic to cover gray of white hair to change

to a color regarded as more fashionable.

HAIR CUTTING
If you feel like your hair looks frizzy or damage a haircut can help

restore the healthy shine that you’re looking for.
