C. LESSON PROPER
 The teacher will divide the class into 4 groups in which in one of those group will
have a leader.

Procedure:
1. Cut and design your shoe box as shown in figure 2

2. Put the rubber bands around the box. Make sure that the rubber bands are almost

Q1. What physical signs did you observe when you plucked each rubber band? Did you hear any
sound. What produced the sound?

Q2. How different are the sound produced by each rubber band with different thickness?

4. This time use the finger of one hand to stretch one of the rubber bands. Pluck the rubber
band with

Q3. Are there changes in the note when you plucked the stretched band?

5. Repeat step 4 with the other rubber bands.

Q4. Arrange the rubber bands in sequence from the highest note to the lowest note produced.

D. APPLICATION/VALUES INTEGRATION
 The teacher will relate the importance of sound waves and how it contributes to
our daily lives.

E. GENERALIZATION
 For the summary of the lesson, the teacher will review the key points of the lesson
to the students. He will ask questions pertaining to the different characteristics of
sound and how sound travels.
