Procedure:
1. Read a book or search in the internet a famous scientist describing his/her research.
2. Compare the work method and sequence with the scientific method you studied
when you are in Grade 6.
3. Make a written report.

DEEPEN Activity 1.
Double-Entry Journal
Discuss the different steps in a scientific investigation and have the students do their
double-entry journal. Remember to give the students at 20 seconds so they can
interpret/write their own understanding of step in a scientific investigation.

Make a bag made of recyclable materials from plants like dried leaves of vines, etc.

Activity 2.
Experiment
Procedure:
1. Get 2 plants. (the same kind of plant) Plant A and Plant B
2. Exposed them to the same amount of sunlight.
3. Plant A – watered the plants with 200mL water
Plant B – watered the plants with 200 mL water and with 200 mL of fertilizer
solution.
4. Watered the plants twice a week.
5. After 2 weeks, measure the growth of the plants.
6. Take a picture of your experiment

1. Which plant has the greatest growth rate?
2. What factors affects the growth of plants?
