INTRODUCTION

Work Immersion is a part of the educational program for senior high school (SHS). A work
simulation or 80 hours of practical experience that the Grade Students in grade 12 will participate to
expose them to the actual work environment. One of the courses needed to graduate is Work Immersion.
A senior high school student must participate in work immersion in a field that is directly related to their
post secondary objective. It is also connected to the course we want to pursue, that helps us to experience
the real work as a worker/employee.

As a result, the Work Immersion Portfolio includes an compilation of written works, events,
documentations, and learning opportunities we have had as a immersion student that provides description
or the overview of my work immersion experiences. It includes records, that will serve as verifiable proof
of the extensive spectrum of skills and information we have as developing professionals.

Therefore, the Work Immersion Portfolio defines how a student will demonstrate to the faculty
that they are getting closer to achieving the required requirements or outcomes of the work site.

ACTIVITY 1 | The Worker

Work is on your way. Are you prepared to work? Do you have the potential, character, talents,
and skills to take up the vigour of being a worker? What should you possess to become a good
worker? How will you prepare for work immersion?

Before the work immersion, we students attended an seminar about work ethics. And they
prepared us before we where deployed. All the important things I’ve learned in the seminar before the
immersion, helps me to be prepared.

Yes, I’m very qualified by having this kinds of characteristics, because I’m willing to do my best,
for me to improve it, learn from it, and to sharpen all this kinds of characteristics in myself as a worker.
Because, I'm the type of person who is constantly prepared, thus I am confident in my ability to perform
my job. I have what it takes to do well in work. In addition to being a good worker, I also possess the
qualities of leadership, agility, and hard effort. Being a good employee requires you to work well with
others in your office or workplace. Respect. Kindness and politeness should be extended to them. These
qualities describe me. I'm confident enough through my skills and characteristics. I have a strong sense of
purpose and determination. I and work as quickly as I can to complete my tasks. I believe that this is a
strength of mine personally because I constantly strive to complete all of my work and turn it in on time. I
also have the endurance to complete exceptional work. Also you should be responsible, hard-working,
initiative, multi-tasking, confident, communications skill, etc. and all the work ethics that have been
discussed in the seminar.

One needs to be a good worker in order to do quality work. Strong interpersonal and professional
abilities are essential for an effective worker. We must possess the qualities and skills necessary to carry
out our duties in the most efficient and effective way possible. For a good worker to effectively lead and
follow his employer and colleague, he or she must also possess strong organizational and teamwork
abilities. It takes some preparation to get ready for work immersion. because you'll be exposed to a new
location. You will pick up new information throughout the immersion. Being a good team player and
being financially aware of the realities of the workplace at a young age gives us a overview of what
employees do inside a workplace. You will then start to think like an adult at that point. Together with
learning new things, you will also be developing new talents. You will be motivated to attain your life
goals with the aid of this immersion, especially with the assistance of the pros.

REFLECTION

1. Do you agree to the company’s policy guidelines, rules and agreement? Support your answer.
Yes, Because it’s their rules and regulations so as a employee/worker I should follow and
respect the company’s policy guidelines, rules and agreement. By following this rules we can
make things in order and at peace. So that there will be no problems and issues inside the
workplace.
2. Was there a rule that you think is not acceptable to you? Why?
None, The rules are developed by the company itself so I must respect and follow their
rules. I don’t find any inappropriate rules inside the workplace, It’s just the basic rules for an
worker/employee that I should follow.

ACTIVITY 3 | Situational Analysis

CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE WORKPLACE

Suppose you work in a police station or a law firm and signed a confidentiality
agreement regarding all their cases at hand, suddenly your friend who was a suspect to a crime
asked you for some documents that are in your office’s possession that may help him in his case.
How would you deal with the situation?
As a police worker, I will be careful not to cause any miscommunications between us as friends,
but I won't give him any paperwork he needs to prove his innocence because I am a strong believer that
my job as a police worker is to uphold good deeds. Returning to the original question, I won't provide any
of the records he requests, but in an effort to be a good friend, I will advise him on how to approach his
case and advise him to deal with his own mistakes because those are the repercussions of his crime. I'll
handle it that way. In a circumstance like this, as a police officer, I will use a strong thinking approach.
Because If you really do have integrity, you won't tell anyone else what you're up to, and your real friends
won't ask you to.

ACTIVITY 4 | Conflict Resolution

Did you ever experience disagreement and conflict with co-workers? How did you handle the
situation? How would you rate your skills in handling differences of opinion? Please give an
example that illustrates that skill.
None. In my opinion, I consider my capacity for dealing with differences of opinion to be good.
We see the world as a reflection of who we are rather than through what it actually is. This leads me to
think that everyone has different perspectives on the things and situations in their surroundings. I really
believe that we should respect each other's opinions in spite of the fact that we do. Although we are free
to respectfully disagree, we shouldn't force our opinions on others. I am aware that it is common for
people to hold differing perspectives and beliefs, and I consider fair discussion and careful listening to be
essential for developing an awareness for many different points of view.

ACTIVITY 5 | Job Interview

A job interview is an interview consisting of a conversation between a job applicant and a

representative of an employer which is conducted to assess whether the applicant should be hired.
How you answer questions during job interview can have a big impact on you being hired
or accepted as a work immerse. Jot down questions that you have come across during your
first dialogue with the partner-industry work supervisor or head of office you will be
assigned

- Are you in a relationship?

- What school are you attending?

- What course are you planning to pursue in college?

- Who is your principal?

- How many days will you stay here in CPDO?

- Where do you study in college?

- How old are you?

This are the only questions that I remembered, and we answered it confidentially and honestly
without hesitation so that they can see that we are professionals in front of them based on our status and
experiences.

ACTIVITY 6 | Other Related Task

Other Attach or write an account
of other related tasks.
Other related tasks means taking on tasks outside your role but is based on the company given
competencies to the students.

Attach or write an account of other related tasks.

We we’re tasked to write and label the documents inside the file boxes and encode it. We we’re
also assigned to arrange it by their date of inspection. Then we we’re also tasked to sign a signature
in the other departments. We also help the boss to fix his broken desk.

ACTIVITY 7 | Work Immersion Highlights

In that 80 hours of being deployed in CPDO Office, taught me a lot of things. It was exhausting
and tiring but It was fun and enjoyable being a true worker inside the office. all the memories that were
formed will always remain in my heart, I will surely miss the things that I do and the people that I was
with.
Arranging and listing papers

Auto Cad and Sketch Up

With boss, seniors and co-workers

ACTIVITY 8 | My Reflections

How did the experience change me as a person, and how will it help me in the future.

First of all, I want to thank our school for giving this opportunity to us, to have a such wonderful
and memorable experience for us to remember. I was filled with knowledge and advice that I can use in
the future. I was very happy I made it this far, even though it was hard and exhausting importantly I had
experience as a worker. I learned a lot of new things about work, study and even in life, this experience
inspires and motivates me to keep pursuing my dreams because I have the skill and talent to do it.

So I want to thank the seniors who taught us those things, I hope they also learned from us.
They spend time for us even they have works and tasks that they need to do, they still teach us how to
make floor plans, what is the right way of making a floor plan, what are the measurements of doors,
windows, walls and etc., they also teach us how to use auto cad and sketch-up. They even brought their
laptops for us, just to experience what is it like and what is the feeling of making a house in a digital
one.

With this experience, I also formed friendships, and I wanted to express my gratitude to them for
the joy I had with them. Even though it was against the rules, we laughed while playing mobile games.
They always smile and greet us back when we greet them, it feels so nice to be greeted back. This
experience can help me become more professional and responsible for the things for which I am
accountable. It improved my ability to lead, teamwork, and time management.

It can also help me consider my choices in life, such as whether to pursue my dreams or simply
go after what I can afford. One of the lessons I've learnt while on my immersion journey is to push myself
to the edge because when you do, you can see what was previously concealed and what you need to work
on and learn for your own sake. Despite not being on the same academic level, workers and students each
have unique time management issues and circumstances. These two are related and demonstrate both
difficulties and enjoyment. My wisdom widen because they filled it with new things that I can use to
know my self more and to be a better person from yesterday. I will surely use the things I learned in this
journey, and trusting my own skills and characteristics to prove them wrong.
