Okay, so question number one, does your company use an ERP and then what capacity?

[00:00:14.640] - Speaker 2
Currently, I'm not really sure. Like, I'm pretty sure my company uses an ERP, but ERP they're using and
what capacity they are using it in.

[00:00:33.560] - Speaker 1
Were you recruited normally or through Digital Channel? Share your recruitment experience.

[00:00:42.220] - Speaker 2
So I've been working since 2017 and prior to COVID the recruitment is always, like, I guess you can say
in a hybrid manner where you had applied digitally and then your interviews happened all in person but
postcoded. During my summer internship, the entire process was digitally driven. And I felt that basically I
was more comfortable in giving interviews in person than I was online. And even in case of GED, things
like that, it was much more comfortable having GDS offline than online because in online, you hardly get
to speak and the decorum is not always maintained.

[00:01:37.340] - Speaker 1
Yeah. What are HRM related processes in your organizations as technology driven?

[00:01:47.740] - Speaker 2
What are HRM related processes? Can you talk a little bit about HRM related processes? What do you
exactly mean by that?

[00:01:56.580] - Speaker 1
Hiring, selection, or even managing of employees.

[00:02:02.500] - Speaker 2
Okay, so we are hiring now is mainly online, but now the companies have also started like, recruiters
have also started going there offline, but still we prefer online recruitment because that's cost effective
and allows us to go, like, hire more talent, like just a data set of talent increases of electronic hiring, digital
hiring. And then, I guess all the buddy sessions or mentoring sessions that are organized by HR or the
team building sessions organized by HR are now technology driven because they happen over a zoom
call and any information like town halls or information parties and meetings, they're also used technology.
Or for instance, any mail that the company has to send is also technology. I guess these are the
processes that are driven by technology.
[00:03:16.300] - Speaker 1
Okay, the next question. Do you think these processes have eased your work?

[00:03:24.800] - Speaker 2
Yeah, my work per se. I would say that now I don't have to actually go ahead and attend physically the
meetings that I would have had to if not for zoom calls, I can attend the team building exercises or
knowing your juniors interacting with your junior session, these sessions that are organized by HR
virtually and at my convenience. So that is one thing I feel like has been used. And now with the
technology, I feel that earlier, in earlier times, you have to actually physically go to HR and stand there
and ask them to resolve problems. But now you just shoot them a mail or just message them one outlook
and then they get back to you. Initiative.

[00:04:17.200] - Speaker 1
Okay, how do you think the digital transformation of HRM has impacted the whole business?

[00:04:27.680] - Speaker 2
Digital transformation of HRM has impacted the whole business. I mean, there is definitely cost saving.
Like you said, everything is becoming online. Cost saving is there. But I feel also that the intervals.
Relations are not that strong. Once you have those online mode, online channel of communication, that is
like a negative impact. They're like both positive and negative impacts of it, just how you look at it.

[00:05:07.920] - Speaker 1
Okay, so in your opinion, is the digitization charge better or not?

[00:05:15.840] - Speaker 2
Like I said in the previous question, there were positives and negatives too. Right? Because digitization
helps you in one way, we are able to get more talent and go to places where you would not generally go.
Like, I am Sillong is in one area. I am. These are places that are a little difficult to reach, a little tricky. But
now it's like as a back of a button, we can just connect with people there and get more talent, interview
more talent. So that is good. And at the same time, not being able to personally, for me, it is better. I
personally feel that digitization is better because it saves me a lot of hassle personally interacting with
HR.

[00:06:15.850] - Speaker 1
And how do you think the digitization of these HR functions that we talked about has affected the mindset
of the employees of PMR?
[00:06:40.040] - Speaker 2
I really would like you to explain a little bit more about HR functions. You can elaborate on it.

[00:06:51.180] - Speaker 1
For example, like you said, know your Body program. So how the digitization of this has affected the
mindset. Just taking an example of one of.

[00:07:06.750] - Speaker 2
Our functions also basically like know Your Body program right now, even though before the internship
starts, or even though before the job starts, I can actually get to know my body because of the digital
format. Right, digitalization, you mean by digitization, you mean right. I can contact them over as we call,
like the ease of a phone, right? Is that what you mean by digitization or.

[00:07:38.460] - Speaker 1
What? I mean, before starting your job, traditionally you would go to a job and then you meet people, and
then you get to have.

[00:07:52.560] - Speaker 2
There is a platform that allows you to access your mentor before you start a job. You get prepared so you
know what is about to happen. When mentally prepared, you have an idea of what is about to happen.
You don't go in completely blind.

[00:08:12.840] - Speaker 1
Yes, that's what I was asking about. Okay, moving on. What do you prefer, online or offline training?

[00:08:26.600] - Speaker 2
As in like one certificate? I wouldn't really mind offline training, but I feel like online training just eases the
entire process because I can do it at my own pace and at my own time. You have to complete a lot of
initial induction exercise, like modules or workshops. Right. So if it's offline and you have to go there in a
particular place and time at a particular setting, and maybe some people will do it more effectively. Those
who need oversight. But for people who don't really need oversight, I feel like doing it at their own
convenience is always better. So I would prefer online.

[00:09:13.400] - Speaker 1
Okay. And in what form are the appraisals held at your company? And if the appraisals were digital, then
how was the process?
