Q1 PT1: Delivering a Monologue (Output: Audio Recording) *Individual Task


A monologue is a dramatic piece performed by only one actor. It is sometimes called an inner
dialogue because it involves a character having a conversation with himself or herself.

Guidelines:
1. Prepare a simple monologue about your MEMENTO (i.e. your chosen object for the learning
task A about Lesson 4 Mementos).
2. In the monologue, express your feelings for your memento. Point out its relevance or
significance, its advantages, etc. You may also include the memories, the experiences, the
realizations, or the reflections you had written down on your notebook.
3. Once done writing your monologue, read and reread it for revisions.
4. Record your voice while delivering the monologue.
5. After recording, finalize your output (i.e. the voice recording of your monologue) and do the
necessary editing.
6. Save your voice recording and use the filename format AY2122_Eng7_Q1PT1_My Mentos
Mementos_Your Full Name_Section.
7. Send your final output to english7stmarthalcclms@gmail.com on or before September 25.
8. In sending, use the e-mail subject line Q1PT1_My Mentos Mementos.
9. Your monologue will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
a. Content and Relevance (25 points)
i. Is the message of your monologue evident in the words you use?
ii. Is the content of your monologue relevant to the memento you had chosen?
iii. Is the significance of your memento evident in your monologue?
iv. Is your reflection of your memento expressed in your monologue?
b. Emotional Appeal (20 points)
i. Have you expressed the message you want to convey for your memento?
ii. Are you able to move your listeners?
c. Delivery and Enunciation (25 points)
i. Are you able to pronounce clearly the words of the poem?
ii. Have you employed the appropriate voice tone, intonation, and other prosodic
features of speech?
d. Familiarity (15 points)
i. Have you prepared for your presentation?
ii. Have you read and reread your monologue truly and sincerely?
e. Over-all Presentation (15 points)
i. In general, how is your presentation?
