Notes
A This fuel system complies with the recommended practices described in the NFPA 20 and UL 142
B The supply tank shall be located so the fuel supply pipe connection to the engine is no lower than the centerline of the engine fuel
transfer pump inlet. The engine manufacturer’s fuel pump static head pressure limits shall not be exceeded when the level of fuel in
the tank is at a maximum
C Fuel tank should be located as close to the engine as possible
D Fuel tank should be pitched 1/4" (6mm) per foot toward drain plug (17)
E Fuel tank must be located above ground, with provisions to prevent freezing
F The 'Usable Fuel Volume' is 90% of the 'Fuel Tank Volume'. This will provide a 'Sump Volume' of 5% and an 'Expansion Volume' of 5%
G 'Fill Cap ' (5) has provisions to be padlocked closed
H 'Locking Valve ' (1) has provisions to be padlocked open
I 'Fuel Gauge ', if ordered, should be located at the 2" NPT opening (7)
J Low Level Fuel Switch ', if ordered with controller, should be located at the 1-1/2" NPT opening (14)
K Only items marked with 'Peerless' will be furnished, other items are furnished "By Other ' to conform to individual job requirements
L Components shown are shipped loose for field assembly
M Illustration is for component identification only. Actual installation must meet local codes and all applicable standards
N Selection of fuel tank with larger 1.5" opening required for fuel system.
