Please answer the questions below:

1. Why are capacitive switch filters necessary? Describe what they do and name some benefits that arise
from using them.
They provide performance, size and cost improvements over analog RC based filters, and in the
case of active filters, they do so without the need for external reactive components.

And the benefits are it’s powerful advantage which the filter's frequency characteristics can be
changed in real time by varying the clock frequency. Capacitive Switch filters is also can easily
implemented on an integrated circuit.

2. What is a signal converter? Explain its function.

A Signal Converter is a device that converts signals from sensors to industrial current signals,
converts analog input signals to analog output signals, normalizes signals, or isolates signals.
It functions through the transmission of analog signals in an industrial environment is very
susceptible to interference, therefore: Modern signal converters prevent distortion of analog signals by
external interference. Voltage and current can be measured, converted, and isolating signals
determined without any problem.

3. Why is it a good idea to provide electrical isolation between the logic circuit and the output circuit?

The main reason for isolating the circuit is to protect the circuit from dangerous voltages and
currents. In the medical application example of FIG1, even a small amount of AC current can cause fatal
injuries, so an isolation layer is needed to protect the patient.
