INTRODUCTION

LGBTQ is a term used to describe someone who does not identify as either a
man or a woman (Grinberg, 2019). In the Philippines, bullying, discrimination and
lack of education about LGBTQ issues, and occasionally physical or sexual assault,
affect students who are identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBTQ)
(Publications 2017). A rising number of governments and activists are prioritizing the
creation of legislation and safeguards to protect this population from legal
discrimination and political, social, and economic marginalization in light of the
severity and prevalence of such abuses (Angelo & Bocci 2019)
