ACTIVITY 1: COULOMB’S LAW

RELATIONSHIP OF FORCES, CHARGES AND DISTANCE

1.) If r= ¼, then F=𝟏(𝟏𝟒)𝟐 , F=𝟏(𝟏𝟏𝟔) therefore F= 16x of the original force.

2.) If 𝒒𝟏=2 then F α𝒒𝟏𝒒𝟐, then F=𝟐𝒙 the original.

3.) If𝒒𝟏𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒒𝟐 are doubled, then 𝒒𝟏x2= 2F and𝒒𝟐x2=2F therefore, F=4x the
original and if F=0.080N, then F=𝟒(𝟎.𝟎𝟖𝟎) therefore F=0.32N

4.) If 𝒓=𝟑 then F=𝟏(𝟑)𝟐 therefore,F= 𝟏𝟗 of the original force.

5.) If If𝒒𝟏 is doubled and𝒒𝟐 is tripled, then 𝒒𝟏x2= 2F and𝒒𝟐x3=3F therefore,

F=6x the original.

6.) If If𝒒𝟏 is doubled and𝒒𝟐 remained then 𝒒𝟏=2 and𝒒𝟐=1 therefore, F=2x the
original. r=2, then F=𝟐(𝟐)𝟐 therefore F=𝟐(𝟒) 𝒐𝒓 𝟏𝟐. F=𝟏𝟐(𝟏𝟎) therefore, F=5N.

7.) If If𝒒𝟏=𝟏𝟐 and𝒒𝟐 =1 then, F=1x the original. r= ¾ , then F=𝟏(𝟑𝟒)𝟐 therefore
F=𝟏(𝟗𝟏𝟔). F=𝟏𝟐(𝟏)𝟏𝟒 therefore, F=0.89x the original .

REFLECTION
1.What are your learnings from the activity?

-Electric Forceis the repulsive or attractive interaction between any two charged bodies.
It has two types-the attractive and the repulsive force. The Coulomb’s Law states that
the magnitude of the electric force between two point charges is directly proportional to
theproduct of the charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance
between them. It goes in the formula F=𝒌ȁ𝒒𝟏 𝒒𝟐ȁ

2. What did you like most from this lesson?

-I liked the lesson about relationships between forces, charges and distances

3. What is the most challenging or least interesting from the activities?

-The activity about Vector Addition of Forces on a Plane is the most challenging among
the activities.
