control any strange activities. Also it gives protection and security to our
belongings. They serve to prevent, or at least delay, attacks, and also
acts as psychological deterrent by defining the perimeter of the facility
and making intrusions seem more difficult.

THIRD LINE DEFENSE
Summary

FIST LINE OF DEFENSE

- Any physical security system is usually some form perimeter protection
system. The perimeter of an installation or facility is the outer most area
of responsibility. The use of fields, river , flood control, mountains, bridge
and so on as physical barriers not only defines the perimeter of premises,
It creates a deterrent both physical and psychological to unauthorized
entry.

SECOND LINE OF DEFENSE

- Consist of the various risks, control and compliance functions

established by management. It includes such as risk management,
corporate and regulatory compliance quality control and physical
defense, IT, health and safety. The use of walls, fences, gates, bars, grills,
as physical barriers not only defines the perimeter of premises, it creates
a deterrent both physical and psychological to unauthorized entry.

THIRD LINE OF DEFENSE

- Consist of internal materials use as physical barriers that we use keep
our personal and valuable belongings. Also it makes us comfortable in
living our home. These ca also make burglar more difficult to find
valuable things. It involves the use of steel cabinets, bag, interior files,
vaults, padlock and so on.
ILLUSTRATION/PHOTO NARRATIVE

-Window as a weak spot, windows

are the important part of our home.
Windows add value to our home and
provides proper breathing
environment. Windows are
considered as a weak point of our
house because burglars and
criminals can easily destroy or break
the window and they will use the
window as their entrance.
ILLUSTRATION/PHOTO NARRATIVE

-Door as a weak spot, a door is

usually most vulnerable at it’s strike
plate, it’s hinges, and it’s existing
lock hardware. Burglars and
criminals are prone to attacking
these points because that’s where
the easiest to get in. Door is the
main entrance, it’s not necessary to
close it every time we go out.
 Make a recommendations as to how this weaknesses may be
eliminated or reduced.

- Doors and windows are the very important part of the house because
these are the entrance. Also these are considered as a weak spot because
burglars choose this as their entrance. So to make our window and door
more or well-balanced security in any space. Here are some
recommendations:

1. Reinforce the strike plate- simply use longer screws because keeping
the strike plate more securely attached to the door jump makes it
more secure.
2. Secure door hinges- by installing in-swing doors.
3. Install protective units around your lock hardware- putting a cover
because it improves basic security your door locks provide.
4. Go for reinforce glass- because it is durable and difficult to break.
5. Window alarms- install an easy window sensor alert to distinguish
when a window is opened or broken, sounding an alarm to alert your
family and send the thief escaping.
6. Window locks- install your durable window lock.
7. CCTV Cameras- install CCTV Cameras in such areas from where the
whole residential space can be covered.
8. Install a metal window railings and screen doors.
Module 4: lesson 2
Evaluate: 5 hazard
1. KEEP RIGHT- It is considered a hazard that serves as our guidelines that
we always walk at right side in order for us to avoid face to face and not
to be infected with corona virus. For example, when we go to market or
when we go to school, we always walk at the right by following the arrow
so that we were not face each other because when we don’t follow the
arrow sign, maybe we were infected with virus.
2. NO PARKING- It is considered a hazard because it tells us that in this
area is not free to park vehicles, motors and so on in order for us not to
park our vehicles. For example, if we are driving a vehicle or tricycle, we
will not park in this area so that to avoid car accidents because this area
is has little space.
3. 20 TONS SIGN- It was located at the middle of the bridge near Samoki,
this sign tells that the weight of the vehicle must not exceed not more
than 20 tons because that’s the capacity of the bridge so that the bridge
will not crack or destroyed. For example, we are driving a heavy
equipment vehicles that the weight is more than 20 tons, we will not
walk in this bridge to avoid accidents.
4. PEDESTRIAN CROSSING- It is the particular area for us to cross when
we go to school or when we go to market and when meet our boyfriend
and girlfriend. We should walk only in this area when we pass so that
the drivers will lessen their speed or stop and to avoid accidents. For
example, when we go to our texmate, we walk at the pedestrian when we
cross so that the drivers will stop and not hit us (dungpalen datayu).
5. BUS STOP- It also considered a hazard because it shows where the bus
will stop so that the bus drivers will not be confused where they park
and unload people. For example, we are driving a bus, this area is only
for us to park the bus not everywhere in order to avoid car accidents.
