Name: Pumice
- Pumice, called pumicite in its powdered or
dust form, is a volcanic rock that consists of
highly vesicular rough-textured volcanic glass,
which may or may not contain crystals. It is
typically light-colored.
- Pumice is pyroclastic igneous rock that was
almost completely liquid at the moment of
effusion and was so rapidly cooled that there
was no time for it to crystallize.
Color: White
- The texture of pumice is rough.
- Pumice is felsic.

Name: Jasper (Rock)

- Jasper, an aggregate of microgranular quartz
and/or cryptocrystalline chalcedony and other
mineral phases, is an opaque, impure variety of
silica, usually red, yellow, brown or green in
color; and rarely blue. The common red color
is due to iron (III) inclusions.
- True jasper has a quartz composition and is
of metamorphic or metasomatic origin.
Color: Red/Brownish
- Jasper has a smooth texture.
- Jasper is a non-foliated metamorphic rock.
Name: River Rock
- River Rock is a natural rounded stone,
with distinctive smoothness and colors.
- River rocks can be sedimentary, igneous,
or metamorphic depending on the
particular geography of the river where the
rocks were found. A river that flows
through a volcanic area is sure to have
igneous rocks, for example.
Color: Grey
- The texture of the rock
is smooth. - River rock is
mafic.

Name: Porphyry
- Porphyry is a textural term for an
igneous rock consisting of coarse-grained
crystals such as feldspar or quartz
dispersed in a fine-grained silicate-rich,
generally aphanitic matrix or groundmass.
-Porphyry is an igneous
rock characterized by porphyritic texture.
Color: White, Light Brown, and Black
- The rock has a smooth texture.
- Porphyry is felsic.
Name: Umber Rock
- Umber is a marine sediment associated
with black smokers.
- Umber is an iron-rich sedimentary
rock deposited by black smokers on the
ocean floor.
Color: Light Grey, Green, and Light
Brown
- The rock has a smooth texture.
- It is non-clastic.

Name: Quartz Sandstone

- Quartz-sandstone is a sandstone
consisting of more than 95% quartz clasts
and below 5% matrix.
- Sandstone is a sedimentary rock.
Color: Brown
- The rock has a rough texture.
- Sandstone is a clastic sedimentary rock
composed mainly of sand-sized (0.0625 to
2 mm) silicate grains. Sandstones comprise
about 20–25% of all sedimentary
rocks. Typically, quartz and feldspar;
lithic fragments are also common.
