Diligent Problem Solver

Although I felt very lost at first, I wrote down some goals for myself in order to succeed in this
project. When gathering information for this report, I would take into account the knowledge of
Dave Adams since he is the head coach of World Baseball Outreach (WBO) at Students
International. My group and I asked Dave and his partner open-ended questions which would
ultimately help me distribute more information throughout the report. On many occasions it was
difficult to find reliable information, therefore I would conduct research using a variety of sources
such as the WBO website due to its uniformity regarding well distributed facts and details.
When creating my final draft, I made logical, educated decisions by taking all my information
and deciding which were the best facts about WBO that supported the ideas that Dave Adams
shared with us.

Vision Board-
When working on my vision board, I was faced with challenges which involved finding pictures
and writing a brief description of each of them. I did not know which website to create the project
on, so I took into Heidy’s knowledge into account and told me to use Canva, which was the best
website for this project. When noticing that I had a lack of pictures to add to the project, I went
over to Pinterest as my credible source to find good pictures which related to my vision board
ideas. Once I had my outline for this project, I made a personal decision to make the vision
board as simple as I could with great detail in my picture descriptions. This educated decision
was part of my conclusion due to realizing that the project was not as complicated as it seemed.

Monologue-
When creating my monologue script, I struggled with coming up with any ideas of what it would
look like. I went over to Ms. Malave and took into account the knowledge from past monologues
which she had already witnessed. Once I had my script written down, I faced the challenge of
not being able to memorize my lines for the video shoot. Therefore, I asked my classmates to
help me and discerned their point of view on my script since they gave me better feedback on
how to perform for my video. Once I was familiar with my script, I conducted some research on
YouTube in order for me to better understand different acting techniques for my video shoot.

Semester 1 final work-

When writing my semester one final work, I faced the challenge of lack of organization. I
conducted research by using the document of Malala’s speech as a reliable source to add
details to my essay. Since the theme for my essay was about Injustices, I had to discern truths
about Malala’s claims of being a victim of injustice. When organizing my information about
Malala, I was also faced with the challenge of not knowing what else to add to my essay. As I
gathered more information, I took into account the knowledge of Keeara and Joel and used their
opinions to support my claims in the essay, since these are people in honors class.
