1. What are the contact-free services you could recommend for the hotel industry to overcome the
recession caused by covid-19?

Online reservations and manual reservations instead of the walk-in reservation, our industry has 2 kinds
of reservations, manual and online reservations. Through online reservations and manual reservations, it
will help employees and guests too to ease their contact with each other. Also, online and manual
reservation is more convenient nowadays because of the high fare. We all know that all of us have
Facebook and the internet, so it is easier to communicate with the hotel without going outside in the
mid of Covid-19.

Tray service, in our industry, we are known for buffet, American style table setting and etc. but this time
that we have Covid 19, we must use some techniques to assure the safety of our staff and our guest,
which is tray service. Guests will order food by phone while they don’t need to go outside. Then when
their order is ready, all of their food will deliver to their room and it will buzz out with disinfectant
equipment.

2. What can you say about the current status of tourism and the remedy recommended to adapt in

the new normal?

For me, our tourism today is even more appreciated because we have been trapped for a very long time.
Just like in previous months and years, we have been trapped by a lockdown due to the continuous rise
of the COVID 19 case. But now that we are returning to the past little by little, I can say that we are
ready to face the new rules dropped by our government. In total, we have gradually become
accustomed to the fact that we have experienced a pandemic for several years when now we have the
opportunity to restore the vitality of tourism even though our country still has issues with COVID 19.

The role of tourism and hospitality in the growth of cultural experience in the Philippines is its continued
recognition among another fellow Filipinos. That is why every piece of information about the growth of
Filipino culture is better known. In addition, it does not destroy the culture of our past, especially our
fellow Filipinos such as Badjao, Ifugao, and others. because of the help of tourism and hospitality our
countrymen are given the opportunity to reflect on their culture while earning income for daily living.
That is why they become more alive because there are tourists who are willing to see their culture and
tradition.
