Project Title: REFRESHER COURSE ON BASIC LIFE SUPPORT & BASIC

WATER SAFETY/SURVIVAL TECHNIQUES

Objectives: 1. To refresh all Barangay Officials & Workers on Basic Life Support
(BSL), Water Safety & Survival techniques.

2. To increase employees productivity through enhanced

organizational teamwork.

Source of Fund: BDRRM (Trust Fund 2021 and below)

Project Beneficiaries: BARANGAY OFFICIALS & WORKERS

Rationale: Based on the result of the Hazards and Risks Assesment cocnducted
by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), the Municipality of
Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya is susceptible to Landslide & Flooding.
Moreover, there is a significant rise in the number of vehicular
accidents as roads within the municipality were improved (concreted).
Any delay in the provision of emergency services or the absence
thereof, may result to the unnecessary loss of life, limbs of property.
Added to this is the fact that emergency situations may happen
anytime and at any place. It is within this context that all Barangay
Officials and workers need to be capacitated in responding properly to
emergency situations that necessitates proper skills, techniques and
know-how. With the advent of climate change, there is need to
 enhance disaster preparedness and awareness as the treath from natural
phenomena and manmade disaster has risen over the years.
We have trained/oriented all BLGU Officials & Workers on BLS and
Basic Water Safety & Survival Techniques. Still, there is a need to
enhance the capacity and skills through continuous and sustained
trainings.

General Objectives: To save lives and limbs and to alleviate needless sufferings of
victims of any untoward accidents, disaster or calamity and be able
to respond effectively to emergencies and recover from its ill-
effects.

Specific Objectives:
 To refresh the Barangay Officials & Workers on BLS and
Basic Water Safety/Survival Techniques
 To train & capacitate them on Basic Water Safety
 To conduct team building activities within the group
