Activity 1.A solid substance dissolved in a liquid substance is a solution. (Ans:Yes)
Review 2. Alcohol and water is uniform mixture. (Ans:Yes)
3. Steel is an example of solid in solid mixture. (Ans:Yes)
4. We can see two substances in a solution. (Ans:No)
5. Soft drinks is an example of gas in liquid mixture. (Ans:Yes)
B. Motivation Look at the two liquid drinks closely. If you were to choose, Which
drinks do you like most? Why? (Ans: Calamansi, Because it is nutritious)

There are four types of solutions. All these types are homogeneous.
1. Solid in liquid
2. Liquid in liquid
3. Gas in liquid
Oxygen is also present in water. Plants use them during the food –
making process. There is also oxygen in the blood, and this makes our
cells function well.
4.Gas in gas
5. Solid in solid
