Let us all stand and pray. Amen…..

2. Greetings
Good afternoon class. Good afternoon sir.

You may take your seats. Thank you sir.

3. Review

Excellent.
B. Developmental Activities

1. Motivation
Class are you familiar with this game Called 4 pics 1 word? Yes sir
Have you played the game?

Okay very good! Yes sir.

Now we will be having an Activity which is called 4 pics 1 word.

I will Show the picture and you are going to guess the words.

Did you understand class? Yes sir.

Are you ready? Yes sir.

PENCIL PENCIL
RULER RULER
PAPER PAPER
Wow! Excellent
You guess the correct answer.

2. Presentation
What did you observe in our activity class? We observed that our
activity are all related
to drawing.
Very good
It is all related to the drawing.

Are you interested to learn about Technical Drawing? Ye sir.

3. Discussion

What is Technical Drawing

Technical drawing, drafting or drawing, is the act and
discipline of composing drawings that visually
communicate how something functions or is
constructed.

Technical drawing is essential for communicating

ideas in industry and engineering. To make the
drawings easier to understand, people use familiar
symbols, perspectives, units of measurement,
notation systems, visual styles, and page layout.

Together, such concepts make a visual language

and help to ensure that the drawing is clear and
easy to understand. The need for exact
communication in the preparation of a document
distinguishes technical drawing from the expressive
drawing of the visual arts. Technical drawings are
understood to have one intended meaning.

Methods of Technical Drafting

1. Sketching- is a quickly executed freehand drawing

that is usually not intended as a finished work. In
general, sketching is a quick way to record an idea
for later use. Architect’s sketches primarily serve as a
way to try out different ideas and establish a
composition before a more finished work.

2. Manual or by instrument-This is done with the use

of instruments such as technical drawing tools and
drafting tables. This basic drafting system requires
an accurate table and constant attention to the
positioning of tools

3. Computer aided design

2 Types of Computer Aided Design
A. 2D (Two-dimensional) CAD Systems – The lines,
circles, arcs and curves are created within the
software. It is down to the technical drawing skill of
the user to produce the drawing. Its greatest strength
over direct to paper technical drawing is in the making
of revisions.

Whereas in a conventional hand drawn

technical drawing, if a mistake is found, or a
modification is required, a new drawing must be
made.

B. 3D (Three-dimensional) CAD Systems – first

produces the geometry of the part; the technical
drawing comes from user defined views of that
geometry. Any orthographic, projected or sectioned
view is created by the software. There is no scope for
error in the production of these views.

3D CAD allows individual parts to be assembled

together to represent the final product. Buildings,
aircraft, ships, and cars are modeled, assembled, and
checked in 3D before technical drawings are released
for manufacture.

What are 2D Technical Drawings?

Transformation in technology has made it possible for

most professionals to save on time while working on
projects. For example, during the early periods,
technical drafting was done manually. The difficulty of
this system made it time consuming, increasing the
possibility of delays in completing projects.
For this reason, technical drafting mechanics
has been automated and enhanced using CAD
(Computer Aided Designs) systems.

2D technical drawing allows a technical drafter to

make revisions in case of errors, which is more
reliable compared to manual drawing where the
drafter will have to redraw from scratch.

Using 2D drafting increases accuracy, speed and

legibility. As the global demand for automated drafting
services increases, companies offer such services at
a considerable fee.

4. Application

Okay now we will be having a group activity I will divide

you into 7 groups each group will select their leader. If
the group are fished answering the activity the leader will
come to the front to represent their activity.

BACK FROM THE PAST Make a timeline about the history of

computer technology. Make sure to indicate the name of each
period and a brief description. Use the template below and
write your answers inside the box. The first one is done for
you.

Now, the group activity will be scored according to this

standard.

You only have five minutes to finish the activity.

Yes sir.
Are you ready class?

Timer start now.

Time is up.

Excellent all of you have participated well.

Let us check your activity.

5. Generalization

Let us see if you really understand the lesson.

7 generation sir
How many generation of computer do we have?
Very good.
It is started 1623-
When was the mechanical era started? 1945
Excellent!

What is the first computer? The first substantial

computer was the
giant ENIAC
machine by John W.
Mauchly and J.
Presper Eckert at the
University of
Pennsylvania. ENIAC
(Electrical Numerical
Integrator and
Calculator) used a

digits instead of
binary ones like
previous automated
calculators/computers

We have five types of

computer software.
That’s correct very good.
