1. This propaganda technique tries to get the target to jump on board, so
as to not “miss out” on what everyone else is doing. BANDWAGON 2. This is a technique that shows the product’s best features, tells half- truth, and omits its potential problems. CARD STACKING 3. This is a technique wherein; virtue words are often used such as natural, organic, scientific, ecological, sustainable, etc. GLITTERING GENERALITIES 4. This technique uses words in attempting to influence an audience by using emotional appeal or stereotypes that cannot be supported by concrete evidence. LOADED WORDS 5. This is a technique used in propaganda and advertising-known as association. Appeal that helps a person imagine himself as part of a picture. TRANSFER 6. This technique condemns an idea without examining the label really means. It also lines a person or idea, to a negative symbol. NAME- CALLING 7. This is technique uses common people to sell or promote product services. PLAIN FOLKS 8. This is used to reduce crucial to basic ideas and packages them with catchy slogans and images. SIMPLIFICATION 9. This is the use of flattery or insincere compliments designed to get the audience on the side of the speaker. SOFT SOAP 10.This is a technique wherein a famous or seemingly authoritative person recommends a product or service, and vouches for its value. TESTIMONIAL 11. This is a way of spreading information with the purpose of influencing feelings or actions. It is usually repeated and presented over a wide variety of media in order to attract the interests of greater majority.
