The competition is open to all who registered through Google form.

Theme:
The theme for the vlog making competition is "Spectrum: Celebrating Diversity". Participants are
encouraged to showcase the happenings in nift during spectrum in their vlogs.

Submission:
Each participant can submit only one vlog entry. The vlog must be original content created by
the participant and should not have been copied or submitted in any other competition.

Time Limit:
The vlog should be max 1 minutes in length.

Language:
Any language permitted (with English subtitles)

Technical Requirements:
The vlog can be shot on any device, but should be of high quality and resolution. The format
should be in MP4 or MOV, with a minimum resolution of 720p.

Copyright:
The participant must ensure that their vlog does not violate any copyright laws or infringe upon
the rights of a third party.

DESCRIPTION
Participants are requires to submit five pictures on monochromatic theme. The
images should be clicked during Spectrum. Location of the photographs must
be constrained to Ahmedabad and around Gandhinagar.
Submission can be done digitally as well as in physical format in form of A4
print.

Participants will be judged on their ability to convey emotion and meaning


through their images, as well as their creativity in using light, shadow, texture,
and composition to create a powerful visual impact.

BASIC SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES FOR PHOTOGRAPHS

1. The contests are open for online submissions only.

2. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.

3. Photos submitted must be at least 640 pixels on the shorter side, and no
more than 2000 pixels on the longer side. Images should be 5-7MB. Photos
must be in JPEG format.

4. You may submit only one entry, with five images.

5. You are required to provide a unique title & description for each image sub-
mitted.
6. All submitted photos must contain the original EXIF metadata informa-
tion. However there must be no border(s), logo(s), copyright marks, identi-
fying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the image.
7. Basic editing, including color enhancement, the use of filters, and crop-
ping of the Photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not
affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the Photo(s).

8. Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions and/or manipula-


tions, and the adding and removing of significant elements within the
frame is prohibited.

shot during Spectrum with an appropriate title and description. The photo-

enjoy a good intellectually stimulating discussion. NGMUN provides a unique experi-
ence and a platform to network with like-minded people.

*The procedure of the NGMUN is slightly different from a standard MUN conference.
Many rules have been adjusted after proper research to make it an interesting experi-
ence for all participants. We appreciate your interest and active participation in this
first-of-its-kind forum here at Spectrum, NIFT Gandhinagar.*

The delegates will be representing brands allotted to them from one of the following
categories in the fashion industry:

These will be assigned per the preference given below on a first-come-first basis.
After registering through the form, each participant will be sent further instructions
including the brand allotted to them.

The NGMUN is governed by a specific set of rules that each participating Brand must
follow.

1. The Executive Board (EB) shall have final authority on all academic and procedural
matters during the conference.

2. The dress code for the conference will be business formal/semi-formal or a specific
attire representing your brand.

3. Electronic devices such as, but not limited to, laptops, tablets and cell phones can be
used in the committee room and during formal debate for research, and resolution draft-
ing purposes only. Please note that delegates are not allowed to text or communicate
with other delegates in the room via their electronic devices.

Semi-Finals & Finals will be best of 3 sets (15 points each). In the case
of Deuce, 20 will be the last point and 21 will be the winning point.
Gum sole shoes are mandatory.

Rules-
1. Each player will get 10 minutes plus 5 seconds increment on each
move.

2. Host centre will provide Chess Clock, Chess Board and Chess Pieces.

3. Maximum of 3 illegal moves will be allowed.

4. 50 moves will be allowed if King is the last chess piece left on the
board.

5. Touch and move rules will be followed.

All other rules are as per FIDE ( World Chess Federation).


The decision of the referee will be final.

RULES-
1. All matches will be best of 3 sets of 11 points each. Finals will be of
5 sets of 11 points each.

2. Participants are to carry their own bats. A ball will be provided.

3. In case of a Deuce a difference of 2 points should be scored com-


pulsorily to win the match.

4. The ball must rest on an open hand palm. Then it must be tossed up
at least 6 inches and struck so the ball first bounces on the server’s
side and then the opponent’s side.

5. If the serve is legal except that it touches the net, it is called a let
serve. Let serves are not scored and are reserved.

Further rules will be based on IITF (International Table Tennis Federa-


tion).
The decision of the referee will be final.

VOLLYBALL

RULES:

1. There should be 12 players in a team.

2. Only 6 players on the floor at any given time: 3 in the front row and
3 in the back row.

3. Points are made on every serve for the winning team of the rally (ral-
ly-point scoring).

4. Players may not hit the ball twice in succession.

5. Only 2 timeouts are allowed in each set (Duration-30 sec).

6. A player cannot block or attack a serve.

7. Only the semifinals and finals are the best 5 sets of matches, the
rest of the matches are the best of 3 sets matches.

8. A ball hitting a boundary line is "in".

9. Only the game captain is authorized to speak to the referees for


clarification of judgement.

leyball).

BASKETBALL
RULES:

1. Duration: 20 minutes: 4 quarters of 5 minutes each.

2. Break time is 4 minutes in the order of 5-1-5-2-5-1-5 minutes.

3. Players: Each team should have a minimum of 7 players and a max-


imum of 12 players.

4. Rolling substitutions will be allowed.

5. Game: League-based tournament would be played

6. 5 personal fouls per player will be allowed. A player will be warned


after 3 personal fouls.

7. One time-out per team will be allowed per quarter except for the
last quarter in which 2 time-outs per team will be allowed.

8. The referees’ decisions will be final and abiding for all foul calls.

9. The team is requested to coordinate with the fixtures given by or-


ganizers.

10. Maintain proper discipline with the organizers and security


guards and follow the instructions.

All standard full court Basketball rules (FIBA rules) apply
