‫ألم تر كيف فعل ربك ب ِعا ٍد‬
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with ʿAad?
i.e. ˹the people˺ of Iram – who had tall lofty pillars

ٰ‫إٱلت ل َ ْم ُُيْلَ ْق مِثْلُ َها ِف ْٱللَـ ِد‬

‫الفجر‬
89, 7-8

i.e. ˹the people˺ of Iram – who had tall lofty pillars. Unmatched in any other land

ِ‫وثمود ٱَّلِين جابوا ٱلصخر بِٱلواد‬
and Thamûd who carved ˹their homes into˺ the rocks in the ˹Stone˺ Valley

َ ‫أع َم ٰـل ُهم اصدهم عن ٱلسبيل‬ َ

And the people of ’Ȃd and Thamûd ˹met a similar fate˺ [Allah destroyed them], which
must be clear to you ˹Meccans˺ from their ruins. Satan made their ˹evil˺ deeds
appealing to them, hindering them from the ˹Right˺ Way, although they were capable of
reasoning.

‫اإِن أعرضوا فقل أنذرتكم صـعِقة مِثل صـعِقةِ َع ٍد وثمود‬
41, 13

But if they turn away, then say, "I have warned you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt
[that struck] ʿAad and Thamūd

✓ Kahlan – Tha’labah bin Amir migrated to Yathrib and his descendants are the Aws &
Khazraj of Madinah
▪ Qahtani Arabs are descendants of Sam (Nabi Nuh’s son)
▪ In English all sons of Sam are referred to as Semites

▪ Adnan may have lived circa 30 BC and his son*

." ‫" أنا انل ِب ل ك ِذب أنا ابن عب ِد المطلِب‬

Narrated Abu 'Is-haq: Al-Bara' was asked while I was listening, "Did you
flee (before the enemy) along with the Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬on the day of (the
battle of) Hunain?" He replied, "As for the Prophet, he did not (flee).
The enemy were good archers and the Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬was saying, "I am the
Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬undoubtedly; I am the son of `Abdul Muttalib."

Conclusion

 Rasulullah’s Lineage is special for many reasons

 Each of his great grandfathers all the way to Abd Muttalib had unique strengths in their own way thus
preparing Rasulullah (All Qadar of Allah)
 2 of his fathers were ransomed and saved (Nabi Ismail & Abdullah ibn Abd Muttalib)
 Abd Muttalib made doa for Allah to protect the Kaaba and it was indeed protected
 Aminah was pregnant with Rasulullah when Incident of elephants took place, Allah was protecting
Rasulullah too
Nabi Nuh’s Offspring and Their Descendants

Economy was very bad so Hashim ibn Abd Manaf

established the trade route and put Makkah on
the map of the world.
Now you could get goods from as far away as
India and Africa coming from Yemen as well as
Silk from China coming through Syria

Discovery of Zamzam

 Dream , repeatedly
 He and Harith started to dig and everyone mocked them, until water gushed
out
 Then everyone claimed the water
 Made a vow. Allah, if you give me 10 sons I will sacrifice one of them
 Looked for priestess to settle civil dispute. Got lost. Dug each own grave and
he struck water – sign the Zamzam is his!

‫ف رِضاك‪ ,‬ول تو ِنلا و ِِلا ِسواك‪ ,‬ول‬ ‫ٱللهم اه ِدنا بِهداك‪ ,‬واجعلنا مِمن يسارِع ِ‬

Meaning of Closing Doa

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Compassionate

Our Lord Benefit Us with the knowledge you have taught us * Our Lord teach us what is beneficial for us * Our
Lord grant us, our families and our relatives firm understanding of our religion. Together with the people of
our Nation be they female or male.

Our Lord, grant us and them success in what pleases you be it speech or action that is noble. And give us
sustenance that is Halal and blessed always. Grant us companions who are pious and knowledgeable. So that
we will be safe and continue to do good and abstain from evil.

O Lord, straighten all our affairs; gladden our eyes with Your Satisfaction, O Lord, settle all our debts, before
the messengers of death come to us, Forgive us and cover our weaknesses; You are the Noblest of those who
cover faults.

May Allāh’s Blessings be on the Chosen One, who calls to the truth and devotion in a book which contains
cure for mankind. And Blessings upon his honourable family, and noble and radiant Companions.

O Allāh! Guide us with Your Guidance and make us of those who hasten to Your Pleasure, do not appoint
over us a protector other than You, and do not make us of those who oppose Your Command and disobey
You;

Allah is sufficient for us and he is the best helper. There is no power and no strength except with Allah the
most High and the most Supreme. And may Blessings and Peace be upon our master Muḥammad, his family
and Companions;
