“The person who failed often knows how to avoid future failures. The person who knows only success
can be more oblivious to all the pitfalls.”
This quote is relevant to me because I have failed a lot of times in my yet short life. But with
these failures, I could easily recognize the details that could possibly fail me and I tend to be more
careful with them, making sure I do not make the same mistakes twice. Because of my failures, I
became more aware of the path I am heading and the plans I am pursuing.
“Everyone has to contribute to the common good. To not do so can be described in one word:
selfish.”
I think as a marine biology student, we always discuss about common resources and common
goods shared by all. Most of these common goods are unregulated and are abused because people just
take whatever they want without thinking about its replenishment or the recovery of these goods. So,
I think in our own common goods, it is important to contribute to it to rather than always taking
something from it for these common goods to sustain our future generations. Lastly, this quote for me
is relevant on the view of life and death because these common goods and resources are what we are
currently borrowing from the future generations so we have to be delicate about it and make sure that
when these future generations need it, it will still be there.
“Sometimes, all you have to do is ask, and it can lead to all your dreams coming true.”
This quote is important to me because for a long time and up until now, it is still hard for me
to ask for help. I think one of the reason is because I am the eldest child. I tend to do things on my own
and fix my problems on my own. Before, I thought that being able to do anything on my own is a skill
but as I got older, I thought that I could’ve saved more time and energy if I just asked for help
sometimes and lessen the burden I carry to myself. Right now, I am still struggling to ask for help
because I really do not want to bother the people I love with my problems but I am slowly trying to
reach out to them.
“Don’t Obsess Over What People Think”
This quote is important in one’s life because we should live our life free of the judgement by
other people. This is relevant because it teaches us that what other people think should not be one of
the huge factors in building our dreams. In addition, many people always obsess over t heir image to
other people that they forget the message they’re trying to bring.
“It's interesting, the secrets you decide to reveal at the end of your life.”

I think that during the end of your life, nothing seems to matter anymore than being able
to tell the people you love how much they mean to you and all the things you have done for them
and worked for them. During the end of your life, there is little judgement over the things you have
been through which is why secrets tend to be revealed during death.
