Please confirm via CSD response to submitted Offshore Projects

Department (OPD) CRM request the following:

# Hempel Paints confirms that APCS 6 paint system supplied by them will
be compatible to any APCS 22A system for marking areas.
# Hempel Paints confirms that APCS 6 paint system supplied by them will
be compatible over various epoxy and polyurethane systems for marking
areas, including for example APCS 1A # 1F and APCS 26/26T.
# The existing epoxy coating will need to be lightly abraded with 80
grit emery paper to create a rough surface to provide adhesion for the
Hempel APCS 6 coating system.

Hempel confirmation letters are attached for your reference

Based on above two confirmation letters by Hempel, please confirm that

APCS-6 paint system supplied by Hempel can be used on other manufacture
coating systems i.e. APCS 22A, APCS 1A- 1F & APCS 26/26T

Dear Aziz,

As discussed, coding or marking material doesn't necessarily use with

same coating manufacturer's products of protective coating material.
Coding material is for safety purpose not a coating performance.
We've already shared compatibility confirmation letters for coding
material with Hempel. You can apply Hempel coating product over another
manufacture's protective coating film for coding purpose.
However, surface preparation should be properly done before coding
material applied in accordance with Hempel's recommendation.
