We have a conflict in tensile fabric of playgrounds area (boys and girls school), and also Girls KG area, between IFC drawings and
specification.
IFC drawings (HA-176440-001, HA-176412-001, HA-176398-001) Shown tensile as teflon fabric, but in specification (GEN-E0004-
DIV13,Sec 133100, 1.01 -A) it’s mentioned in general description (1.01) as (Teflon coated glass roof fabric OR High Density
Polyethylene knitted fabric), also in the same specification it’s mentioned in roof covering (2.02-B) as (High Density Polyethylene
knitted fabric).
ABC and the manufacturer may ask your attention that HDPE is not suitable for tensile at all, for its weakness in wrap and weft tensile
strength.
According to the manufacturer comparison chart between HDPE, PVC and PTFE (see attached comaprision chart and 3 data sheets).
ABC and according to manufacturer recommendation for our project status, propose to use PVC (polyvinyl chloride) which have more
possitive points than the other fabric, such as compatibility with flame retardant (NFPA 701 Test 2) as requested in IFC drawing, (UV
Transmission 0%) and (Solar transmittance (TS): 4%), and for easy maintenance, because any damaged part in future could be
replaced by new one separately than all other parts,etc...
